\u00a0<\/em>Israel is to blame for the ongoing deadly crime wave engulfing Israel\u2019s Arab community, Hamas\u2019 chief said Saturday, referring to the Jewish state as \u201cthe Zionist occupation.\u201d Israel\u2019s Arab sector is seeing its deadliest year ever with 166 people killed in 2023 so far.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe regard the Zionist occupation as the responsible party for the blood spilled and the\u00a0murders running wild<\/a>\u00a0inside the lands of 1948,\u201d a statement issued by Ismail Haniyeh\u2019s office read, couched in the habitual language of the terror group.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe security arms of the Zionist enemy play a dangerous game in trying to embroil our people in another struggle, intended to make them forget their religious and historical ties to the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, and in exile,\u201d the statement added.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics, there are\u00a0over two million Arabs in Israel<\/a>, accounting for some 21 percent of the population.<\/span><\/p>\n
