Gen. Tens of thousands of Israelis remain internally displaced due to the violence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Hezbollah has reportedly refused to negotiate a diplomatic solution to the conflict until a ceasefire has been put in place in the Gaza Strip.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u201cSince deciding to join the war that Hamas started on October 7th, Hezbollah has fired over 5,000 rockets, anti-tank missiles and explosive UAVs from Lebanon at Israeli families, homes and communities,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Hezbollah\u2019s aggression \u201cis bringing us to the brink of what could be a wider escalation, one that could have devastating consequences for Lebanon and the entire region,\u201d Hagari warned.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">According to Hagari, because of Hezbollah and the Republic of Lebanon\u2019s refusal to comply with U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701\u2014which was adopted in 2006 and bans terrorist activities south of the Litani River\u2014Jerusalem will take \u201cthe necessary measures to protect its civilians until security along our northern border with Lebanon is restored.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u201cOne way or another, we will ensure the safe and secure return of Israelis to their homes in northern Israel.&nbsp;This&nbsp;is not up for negotiation,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">In addition, the Jewish state will continue to fight against the Islamic Republic\u2019s \u201caxis of evil\u201d on all fronts as Israel works towards \u201ca more secure future for the entire Middle East,\u201d Hagari vowed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u201cOctober 7th cannot\u2014will not\u2014happen again on any one of Israel\u2019s borders. Israel has a duty to defend the people of Israel. We will fulfill that duty at all costs,\u201d concluded the military&nbsp;spokesman.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">On Thursday,&nbsp;<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jns.org\/two-wounded-as-dozens-of-hezbollah-rockets-batter-israels-north\/\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hezbollah<\/a>&nbsp;claimed it launched some 150 rockets and 30 drones towards Israel in its \u201clargest and most comprehensive attack\u201d since the start of the war.
