Israeli singer Noa Kirel is starring alongside Argentine actor and fellow pop singer Agust\u00edn Bernasconi in a new music-centered romantic comedy series that will begin filming in March,\u00a0The Algemeiner<\/em>\u00a0has learned.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 25-episode series \u201cNOA,\u201d which will be filmed entirely in Argentina, is a global co-production from Argentina\u2019s FAM Contenidos and Israel\u2019s entertainment studio Sipur.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the series, Noa (Kirel) travels to Argentina to meet her boyfriend, after months of having a long-distance relationship, but things don\u2019t turn out the way she thought they would. She then meets Tomy (Bernasconi), \u201ca young man who tries to reconcile with his past and forge a new life away from music, all while Noa begins a journey of discovery in search of her musical identity, while dealing with pressure from her parents and her new reality in Buenos Aires,\u201d according to a provided synopsis.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kirel is a singer, rapper, songwriter, dancer, and actress. She competed on behalf of Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2023 and\u00a0finished third<\/a>\u00a0with her song \u201cUnicorn.\u201d She was also formerly a judge on \u201cIsrael\u2019s Got Talent.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Bernasconi is an Argentine actor, singer, composer, and musician, with over 100 million views on YouTube.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt will be a great experience to star in the series with Noa,\u201d said Bernasconi. \u201cShe is an exceptional artist, and we complement each other very well.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNOA\u201d producer and Dori Media Group founder Yair Dori, who originated the series, said: \u201cI am very proud to be part of this great project, which I believe will have a very solid performance worldwide.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Sipur CEO Emilio Schenker added: \u201cNOA marks the beginning of our co-financing and co-producing major IP franchises globally. I can\u2019t think of a better team or first project to invest in outside of Israel. It fits perfectly with our mandate to bring high-quality fiction, documentary, and unscripted projects to the world through high-level strategic partnerships and the support of powerful investors.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Sipur\u2019s latest projects include the Hebrew-language scripted drama series \u201cBad Boy,\u201d from original \u201cEuphoria\u201d creator and Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Ron Leshem and Hagar Ben-Asher. Netflix\u00a0acquired<\/a>\u00a0streaming rights for \u201cBad Boy\u201d in November 2024. Sipur\u2019s recent works also include the medical thriller series \u201cHeart of a Killer,\u201d starring\u00a0\u201cTehran\u201d<\/a>\u00a0lead actress Niv Sultan, the documentary \u201cWe Will Dance Again,\u201d \u201cThe Devil\u2019s Confession: The Lost Eichmann Tapes<\/a>,\u201d and the documentary series \u201cMunich \u201972\u201d about the Palestinian terrorist attack on Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, Germany.<\/span><\/p>\n

The showrunners for \u201cNOA\u201d are Alejandro Cacetta and Mili Roque Pitt, and the director is Mauro Scandolari.<\/span><\/p>\n
