The notion that a Palestinian state will produce peace is \u201cfolly, nothing more than folly,\u201d Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the JNS International Policy Summit in Jerusalem on Sunday evening.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m saying this for the ambassadors who are here\u2014all of you know this,\u201d he said. \u201cWe just tried a Palestinian state in Gaza,\u201d he continued. \u201cYou saw what that brought, right?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The Jewish state had been \u201cattacked savagely, horribly\u201d on Oct. 7, 2023, said Netanyahu. When German Chancellor Olaf Schultz, who visited Israel early in the war, \u201csaw the film of the horrors and visited the sites, he said there: they\u2019re exactly like the Nazis,\u201d the Israeli premier recalled.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I said, well, they\u2019re different. Not in intent, not in savagery\u2014but the Nazis tried to hide their crimes. And these people carry GoPro cameras, live, you know, they\u2019re ecstatic about the blood they shed, the people they butcher, the women they rape, the men they beheaded, the babies they burned,\u201d he continued.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYou cannot build peace and security on lies. If you do so, sooner or later, these lies will crash on the realities of the Middle East,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

The premier spoke for some 30 minutes about the ongoing seven-front war, which he said was \u201creally a one-front war with Iran and its proxies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

With regard to the Gaza Strip, he said, \u201cThere\u2019s still more to be done.\u201d Israel must finish the war in Gaza, \u201cget our hostages back and destroy Hamas. Hamas will not be there and we\u2019re not going to put the P.A. there,\u201d he said, referring to the Palestinian Authority.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhy replace one regime that is sworn to our destruction with another regime that is sworn to our destruction?\u201d asked the longtime leader.<\/span><\/p>\n

Israel will \u201cin any case\u201d control Gaza militarily, according to Netanyahu.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo what\u2019s left? Well, quite a few things and many opportunities, but obviously they\u2019ll all go down the tube if Iran gets nuclear weapons,\u201d he added, vowing to work with Washington to ensure that Tehran will not be able to enrich uranium under a possible\u00a0deal<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Turning to Lebanon, Netanyahu said that the Sept. 27 Israel Defense Forces operation that killed Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Lebanon\u2019s Hezbollah terrorist army, \u201creally broke\u201d the axis of evil headed by Tehran.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a terrific blow. Some people are irreplaceable. And so far, he\u2019s been irreplaceable,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd so having delivered that blow to Hezbollah, we also delivered a blow to [former Syrian dictator Bashar] Assad, because Assad was relying heavily on Nasrallah,\u201d he continued.<\/span><\/p>\n

With regard to Yemen\u2019s Houthi rebels, who on Sunday launched yet another ballistic missile attack on Israel, Netanyahu expressed his appreciation for U.S. efforts to combat the threat.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe appreciate the fact that the United States is taking action against the Houthis,\u201d he said. \u201cWe appreciate the help that we\u2019re getting from the United States. Arms are flowing in. It\u2019s important we share the same goals, but we have to make sure that Iran does not get nuclear weapons.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Israel needs support rather than U.S. boots on the ground, he emphasized. \u201cThat support means that the U.N. Security Council does not make binding resolutions against Israel. It means that Israel is not sanctioned, is not choked by the international community\u2014and that support is being threatened by the systemic public opinion campaign,\u201d he continued.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd if there\u2019s one thing that has to be done it is to fight back,\u201d the prime minister concluded. \u201cSo I ask you to continue to fight for the truth.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
