U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee denounced France\u2019s push for Palestinian statehood on Saturday, telling\u00a0Fox News<\/em>\u00a0that Paris should instead \u201ccarve out a piece of the French Riviera\u201d for the Palestinians.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOct. 7 changed a lot of things,\u201d Huckabee said of Hamas\u2019s 2023 murder spree that killed 1,200 people, primarily civilians. \u201cIf France is really so determined to see a Palestinian state, I have a suggestion for them\u2014carve out a piece of the French Riviera and create a Palestinian state,\u201d he continued.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThey are welcome to do that, but they are not welcome to impose that kind of pressure on a sovereign nation. And I find it revolting that they think they have the right to do such a thing,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

The French Riviera, or C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur, is a famed stretch of Mediterranean coastline in the southeastern part of France, renowned for its sun-drenched beaches, luxurious resorts and historic seaside towns.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
