A rocket was launched from\u00a0Khan Yunis<\/a>\u00a0in southern Gaza towards an aid distribution point in Rafah on Wednesday night, the military said on Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n

The rocket fell approximately 250 meters from the aid distribution site adjacent to the\u00a0Morag Corridor<\/a>\u00a0in the Rafah area.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/section>\n

The IDF added that despite the rocket launch, the aid distribution site opened on Thursday, and tens of thousands of weekly food packages were distributed to families.<\/span><\/p>\n

The rocket launch follows the transfer of around 70 trucks of humanitarian aid, primarily containing food, through the\u00a0Zikim<\/a>\u00a0and Kerem Shalom crossings into northern and southern Gaza on the same day.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

More than 800 trucks’ worth of aid are waiting to be collected and distributed from the two crossings,\u00a0COGAT<\/a>\u00a0noted in a Thursday morning statement.<\/span><\/p>\n

The US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) also announced on Wednesday that it had extended a public offer to the UN and other international aid organizations to deliver their aid to Palestinians at no cost.\u00a0<\/span><\/section>\n<\/section>\n

Aid distribution operations in Gaza<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The statement follows the release of aerial footage by COGAT, which showed 950 fully loaded trucks containing 2,500 tons of food waiting in Gaza near Kerem Shalom.\u00a0<\/span><\/section>\n<\/section>\n

GHF added that much of the UN and World Food Program’s aid convoys have been looted or confiscated, therefore struggling to deliver aid to Gaza.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/section>\n
