Pro-Israel Republicans defeated a pair of alt-right candidates accused of antisemitism in Florida\u2019s primary elections on Tuesday in races for the House and governor.<\/span><\/p>\n Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) won the Republican gubernatorial primary to succeed Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican who is term-limited.<\/span><\/p>\n With 87% of votes counted<\/u><\/a><\/span> at press time, Donalds had 762,364 (48.3%), trouncing James Fishback, a 31-year-old investor who courted the \u201cgroyper\u201d movement associated with the Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes, who came in third with 163,261 (10.4%) of the vote. Lt. Gov. Jay Collins came in second with 393,248 votes (24.9%).<\/span><\/p>\n The Associated Press<\/i> called the race for Donalds about an hour after polls closed.<\/span><\/p>\n Fishback has said that he does not hold animus against Jews, but ran a campaign defined by his opposition to Israel and frequent race-baiting of Donalds, who is black.<\/span><\/p>\n He pledged that as governor he would divest state funds from Israel; called the University of Central Florida\u2019s cafeteria food \u201cgoyslop;\u201d signed a \u201ccontract with Florida\u201d that he would reject money from the pro-Israel group AIPAC; and frequently referred to Donalds as \u201cBy\u2019rone\u201d in an apparent effort to make his name sound more black.<\/span><\/p>\n Donalds is staunchly pro-Israel and has previously described the Jewish state as America\u2019s closest ally in the region.<\/span><\/p>\n In November, he will face off against David Jolly, a former Republican congressman, who won the Democratic primary.<\/span><\/p>\n In Republican House races, Rep. Randy Fine (R-Fla.), who is Jewish, defeated<\/u><\/a><\/span> Dan Bilzerian, an influencer with 29 million followers on Instagram, who ran an explicitly antisemitic primary challenge and has previously denied the Holocaust.<\/span><\/p>\n With 87% of votes counted at press time, Fine had 42,898 votes (56.8%) to Bilzerian\u2019s 13,816 (18.3%).<\/span><\/p>\n An AI-generated video Bilzerian posted<\/u><\/a><\/span> on Thursday asked \u201cshould we revisit that Austrian painter\u2019s opinions\u201d over an image of Adolf Hitler and included footage of Fine wearing a yarmulke and growing horns.<\/span><\/p>\n The video drew condemnation from Republicans, Democrats and Jewish groups.<\/span><\/p>\n The Republican Jewish Coalition congratulated Fine for defeating a \u201cneo-Nazi\u201d and Donalds for winning against \u201cone of the most openly bigoted campaigns in recent memory.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cJames Fishback spent this race trafficking in vile racism and antisemitic filth,\u201d stated Matt Brooks, CEO of the coalition. \u201cHe peddled antisemitic conspiracy tropes to his supporters while courting the endorsement and praise of white nationalist Nick Fuentes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cDan Bilzerian did not merely flirt with antisemitism.
