{"id":49888,"date":"2017-01-26T17:00:51","date_gmt":"2017-01-26T15:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.reunion68.se\/?p=49888"},"modified":"2017-01-25T16:05:35","modified_gmt":"2017-01-25T14:05:35","slug":"29-00-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.reunion68.se\/?p=49888","title":{"rendered":"Pictures of WJC&#8217;s #WeRemember campaign screened at Auschwitz-Birkenau"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldjewishcongress.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"center alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.reunion68.com\/Biuletyn\/img\/wjc.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"40%\" \/><\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #000080;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #000080; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.worldjewishcongress.org\/en\/news\/pictures-of-wjcs-weremember-campaign-screened-at-auschwitz-birkenau-1-2-2017\" target=\"_blank\">Pictures of WJC&#8217;s #WeRemember campaign screened at Auschwitz-Birkenau<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>WJC<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<hr style=\"background: #d0e6fa; width: 710px; height: 15px;\" \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Thousands of photos of people holding \u2018We remember\u2019 or \u2018I remember\u2019 signs in honor of the victims of the Holocaust are put on display on a giant screen at the former Nazi German death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau from 24 until 26 January 2017, ahead of International Holocaust Remembrance Day this Friday.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/wjc-org-website.s3.amazonaws.com\/production\/uploads\/ckeditor\/pictures\/9831\/content_A10.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"95%\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The screening, next to the International Monument at Birkenau, is part of a global social media campaign conceived and run by the World Jewish Congress whose aim is to raise awareness of the Holocaust.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">More than 100,000 people from every continent have already taken part in the WJC\u2019s campaign, which calls on participants to post their photos to Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites, along with the hashtag #WeRemember.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">&#8220;The goal is to reach those who don\u2019t know much about the Holocaust, or who might be susceptible to those who deny it, and to remind the world that such horrors could happen again.
