All the UN does is point to Israel and shout \u201coccupation!\u201d What about the rest of the Arab world? Not only do they not shout \u201chuman rights abusers,\u201d but they remain silent. It has a tremendously negative impact on the amount of attention other, more egregious human rights abusers get. It also alienates liberal Jews in Israel, the exact constituency that the international left should be empowering, if peace and coexistence is truly their objective. Now, without any ideological home on the left, I and so many other Israelis like me have been forced to move away from our natural camp. This poem is meant to spotlight these feelings by calling out similar situations to Israel\u2019s and to describe why it ultimately reinforces old tropes, harms other oppressed populations, and makes a viable peace with the Palestinians more difficult.<\/p>\n<p>Publicerat av <a href=\"#\" role=\"button\">Aaron Balshan<\/a> den 13 februari 2018<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Aaron Balshan decided to explain to the liberal left why he fears them. He uses a poetic style to slam their ridiculous accusations against Israel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Real Occupations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Balshan goes on to list REAL occupations that are destroying people. He names countries, gives numbers. But does the world notice? Do they care? He says, \u201cEvery UN resolution is talking about me. Arab leaders around the world scream that they want to kill me\u2026Why is it just me that you see? Don\u2019t you see Pakistan\u2019s occupation of Balochistan?\u2026and these Muslims can\u2019t vote in regular elections, they\u2019re killed by the dozens during peaceful demonstrations.\u201d Balshan then goes on to discuss India\u2019s occupation as well as the fact that Azerbaijan is occupied. And what about China\u2019s oppression of Tibet? No? The UN must have missed that. Or Russia\u2019s occupation of Abkhazia? Turkeys genocide of Armenians? I guess the UN must have missed what\u2019s going on in the rest of the world\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Ara<span style=\"color: #000000;\">b World Calls for Genocide<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">And what about all the Arab leaders who practice apartheid while calling for Jewish genocide? The Arab world points their missiles at the tiny, Jewish country in attempt to destroy it. Did the UN miss their call for genocide as well?\u00a0Hillel Neuer of the UN Watch addressed\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.israelvideonetwork.com\/hillel-neuer-just-silenced-the-entire-room-with-bombshell-speech\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this issue<\/a>\u00a0at the UN in March 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">And then there\u2019s Poland, who just 70 short years after 6,000,000 Jews were murdered, want to deny their part in the Holocaust? How ridiculous can the world be?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Wake up, World.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Balshan ends his poetic critique of the left by strongly saying, \u201c\u2026and our revenge has always been to survive and thrive, but inside of you we still see anti-Semitism alive.
