It has a tremendously negative impact on the amount of attention other, more egregious human rights abusers get. It also alienates liberal Jews in Israel, the exact constituency that the international left should be empowering, if peace and coexistence is truly their objective. Now, without any ideological home on the left, I and so many other Israelis like me have been forced to move away from our natural camp.
