Twenty swastikas were painted at Sydney’s Bondi Beach on Sunday. Local police are investigating the incident and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Outragous!” called out the Australian Jewish Association on Twitter, reporting the murals at the Bondi Beach now bearing “numerous swastikas.<\/span><\/p>\n

The murals at the beach walk along Australia’s most iconic beach now bear numerous swastikas!!<\/p>\n

Bondi & Bondi Beach are home to an orthodox Jewish community, synagogues and Sydney Yeshiva.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

Vic Alhadeff, CEO of the New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies, condemned the graffiti saying, “All Australians of goodwill will stand together in condemning this shocking display. The Jewish community is appalled at this expression of blatant racism.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n

\n\u201cTo say that the Jewish community is appalled at this expression of wanton racism is a severe understatement,\u201d NSW Jewish Board of Deputies president Lesli Berger said. \u201cThe swastika represents the ultimate in race hatred and all Australians of goodwill will stand together in condemning this shocking display.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
