(photo credit: AFP PHOTO \/ DANIEL ROLAND)<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>Qatari, Palestinian, Egyptian and Iranian publishers said to be the top offenders at world\u2019s largest publishing gathering<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Several publishers from Arab countries displayed books featuring anti-Semitic content, Holocaust denial, and terror glorification, at the Frankfurt Book Fair last week, an annual report from the Simon Weisenthal Center said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The worst offenders were Qatar, a Palestinian publisher, Egypt, and Iran, the report indicated, with examples including children\u2019s books condoning jihad, a text honoring child murderer Sami Kuntar, and an adaptation of \u201cThe Protocols of the Elders of Zion.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Turkey, however, \u201cfor the 3rd year, remained hate-free,\u201d Dr. Shimon Samuels, director for international relations of the organization\u2019s Paris branch, said in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The report accused the publishers listed of \u201cviolating European Union and German provisions against incitement, and thereby contravene their contractual obligations to the Book Fair.\u201d It called on the book fair to \u201cconfiscate offensive texts and blacklist delinquent exhibitors from participation in 2015.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">At the Qatar booth, three books delineating Jewish conspiracy theories were displayed, including a pamphlet on \u201cThe Battles of Mohammed.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u201cThis booklet, now published in English for children, begins with the plots of the Jews against the Prophet, their slaughter at the battle of Khaybar and a survivor\u2019s subsequent attempt to poison him. This distilled hatred necessitates direct intervention to ensure that Qatar takes measures for a hate-free display to participate in the 2015 Fair,\u201d the report said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The Nablus-based Palestinian Bait Almaqdes Centre featured its texts at a Kuwaiti stand, including the volumes \u201cJewish Terms: Beware of them!\u201d and \u201cThe Zionist Deception Dictionary,\u201d the latter an adaptation of \u201cThe Protocols of the Elders of Zion.\u201d The \u201cJewish Terms: Beware of them!\u201d book, authored by Issa Qaddoumi, recommends the term \u201cIslamic East\u201d in place of \u201cMiddle East,\u201d \u201csurrendering\u201d instead of \u201cnormalization,\u201d \u201cJews\u201d instead of \u201cIsraelis,\u201d and \u201cThe Myth of Nazi Crematory\u201d rather than \u201cHolocaust.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u201cThese terms could not have been so common had the international Jewish media not played its role so cunningly. This is, virtually, one aspect of the cultural Judaization which is meant to be imposed on the world as a whole,\u201d its preface states.<\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"attachment-medium writers-thumbnail\" title=\"Marissa Newman\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn.timesofisrael.com\/uploads\/terms-images\/writers\/newmanmarissa-7705-medium.jpg\" alt=\"Marissa Newman\" width=\"140\" height=\"140\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Marissa Newman is a breaking news editor at The Times of Israel.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The Palestinian publisher also displayed the 2011 volume, \u201cThe Buraq Wall,\u201d which featured allegations of \u201cJewish subversion,\u201d asserted that \u201cworshiping at the Wall is a new heresy in the religion of the Jews,\u201d and called for Muslim control over the Western Wall.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u201cPromotion of Resistance Culture,\u201d an Iranian publisher, presents a series of children\u2019s books on terrorism, including a new edition on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
