The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee announced that they will be\u00a0posting online with free public access its Poland collection from 1945-1949. This collection was confiscated by the Communist Authorities. The\u00a0collection documents the JDCs efforts to assist holocaust survivors following the holocaust.<\/span><\/p>\n

Men and women wait in line inside JDC\u2019s Manhattan office to remit money to relatives in Europe for war relief. The JDC (Jewish American Joint Distribution Committee) has an\u00a0extraordinary names database concerning Jews Russia, Poland, Galicia,\u00a0Holland, Hungary etc having been in contact with the JDC, covering the\u00a0years 1915 through post WWII . Some of their lists are now online,\u00a0downloadable in pdf format and the pdf document is searchable .<\/span><\/p>\n
