Photo: Wikimedia Commons.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">A petition signed by thousands of Israelis was sent on Wednesday to Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz and Culture Minister&nbsp;<span class=\"ILfuVd\"><span class=\"e24Kjd\">Yehiel&nbsp;<\/span><\/span>Tropper, calling on them to instruct&nbsp;<em>Army Radio<\/em>&nbsp;to stop playing songs by popstar Dua Lipa,&nbsp;<i>Mako<\/i>&nbsp;news reported.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The petition, organized by the pro-Israel watchdog Im Tirtzu, came after Lipa sparked outrage on Sunday by sharing an anti-Israel and anti-Israel Defense Forces post to her 46 million followers on Instagram.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u201cWhile everybody\u2019s in the mood to talk about human rights, this is what happens EVERYDAY in Palestine,\u201d the post began.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u201cThe big bad tough guys of the #IDF thoroughly enjoy beating and shooting children,\u201d the post continued, before accusing the Israeli government of being \u201cfake Jews\u201d that created Hamas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u201cThe only \u2018justification\u2019 as to why they don\u2019t deserve freedom is because \u2018Hamas calls for the destruction of Israel.\u2019 Which is utterly HYSTERICAL bc the United States (fake Christians in the mid west) and Israel (fake Jewish ppl in the Israeli government) created Hamas SIMPLY for all of you geniuses to believe that hamas is the reasons for the decades worth of occupation, oppression, ethnic cleansing, and MURDER.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">In response to the post, thousands of Israeli signed the petition calling to pull Lipa\u2019s songs from&nbsp;<em>Army Radio<\/em>\u2018s Galgalatz, Israel\u2019s most popular radio station, which operates under the Ministry of Defense.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u201cIn light of the incitement against IDF soldiers, anti-Semitism, blood libels, conspiracy theories, and the blatant lies in the post that the singer shared, it is not fitting for a radio station affiliated with the IDF to continue to broadcast her songs,\u201d wrote Im Tirtzu in the petition.<\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>Army Radio<\/em>&nbsp;said in response to the petition that \u201cGalgalatz does not boycott any artist.
