American performing artist Ice Cube is facing continued backlash for posting a series of antisemitic images on Twitter.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Wednesday, the \u201cGood Cop Bad Cop\u201d rapper, whose real name is O\u2019Shea Jackson, shared an image of the Star of David that had the outline of a cube in the center. The 50-year-old then tweeted other images titled \u201cblack cube of Saturn\u201d that show large black cube structures in Manhattan, Australia and Denmark.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Black Cube of Saturn is a symbol believed by conspiracy theorists to identify worshipers of Satan, according to Fox News,<\/em> and The Atlantic<\/em> staff writer Adam Serwer noted that another conspiracy theory claimed that the cubes symbolized \u201cJewish control.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In another Twitter post, Ice Cube shared an image<\/a> of Jewish slaves in ancient Egypt along with message, \u201cHebrew Israelites slaves in ancient Egypt clearly they are a black people.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Later on Wednesday, he praised Nation of Islam founder and notorious antisemite Louis Farrakhan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ice Cube also shared images of Egyptian statues on Wednesday that had ties to a Russian propaganda website, according to The Daily Beast<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Social media users slammed the \u201cRide Along\u201d actor on Twitter. Pro-Israel activist Arsen Ostrovsky wrote, \u201cLost all respect for you Ice! You cannot fight bigotry with more bigotry, and in doing so, you only demean the cause of <\/span>#BlackLivesMatter <\/span>and the memory of <\/span>#GeorgeFloyd<\/span>!\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In a separate post Ostrovsky added, \u201cYou cannot claim to fight racism, by employing <\/span>#Antisemitism<\/span>!\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Antisemitism researcher David Collier said, \u201cThis is not fighting racism \u2013 this is inciting it. You are vile,\u201d while another Twitter user wrote, \u201cIt is impossible to take you seriously with regards to social justice or,.. anything when you post anti-Semitic imagery. What the f\u2013k are you doing?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Addressing the avalanche of criticism he had received, Ice Cube refuted speculation his Twitter account had been hacked.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThis is CUBE. My account has not been hacked. I speak for no organization. I only speak for the meek people of thee earth. We will not expect crumbles from your table. We have to power of almighty God backing us all over the earth. NO MORE TALKING. Repent,\u201d he tweeted<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The American Jewish Committee (AJC) also slammed the rapper for his offensive social media posts. In response to a tweet by Ice Cube on Wednesday that showed an image with the headline \u201cspeak a little truth and people lose their minds,\u201d the AJC wrote<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, \u201c@icecube <\/span>\u2018people lose their minds\u2019 because you\u2019re spreading lies, not truth. At a critical inflection point to seek racial justice in our country, keep your antisemitic conspiracies to yourself.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This is not the first time the rapper has shared antisemitic posts on social media. Last week, he posted on Twitter<\/strong><\/span><\/a> an image widely viewed as antisemitic, and he refused to remove it after repeated requests from followers.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
