Here\u2019s an item you never would have read in the United Arab Emirates\u2019 Khaleej Times until quite recently:\u00a0\u201cFirst Hebrew institute to open in UAE in January.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Josh Samet, director of the forthcoming\u00a0Educational Hebrew Institute<\/strong><\/span><\/a>,<\/strong><\/span> told Khaleej Times that the\u00a0Abraham Accords<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u00a0signed by Israel and the UAE \u201chave fueled curiosity for knowledge and education centered around the Hebrew language.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Indeed, as ISRAEL21c\u00a0reported<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0recently, businesspeople and government officials from the UAE and Bahrain are signing up to learn conversational Hebrew online with Israeli-based language schools.<\/span><\/p>\n

But now, Emirati authorities have confirmed that EHI, the first Hebrew language and Israeli culture institute in the UAE, will open in January.<\/span><\/p>\n

In-person classes taught by Israelis in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will acquaint local businesspeople with Israeli-style communication and cuisine in \u201ca fun and interactive way.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

EHI is offering a variety of formats \u2014 morning, afternoon and evening classes, private instruction and gender-segregated classes in English-Hebrew and English-Arabic for beginner, intermediate and advanced students \u2013 at four locations or onsite at corporate or government offices.<\/span><\/p>\n
