Photo: Wikimedia Commons.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The southern Austrian city of Graz has unveiled a plan to combat antisemitism in the wake of two alarming incidents targeting Jews last summer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">On Aug. 19, the synagogue in Graz was\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.algemeiner.com\/2020\/08\/21\/austrian-jewish-leader-warns-of-rising-anti-israel-antisemitism-after-synagogue-defaced-with-pro-palestinian-slogans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">daubed<\/a>\u00a0with the slogan \u201cFree Palestine,\u201d following which Jewish community President Elie Rosen warned of a rise in \u201cleft-wing and anti-Israel antisemitism.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Two days later, Rosen was himself\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.algemeiner.com\/2020\/08\/23\/austrian-leaders-condemn-attack-against-jewish-community-in-graz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">attacked<\/a>\u00a0by an assailant wielding a wooden club.
