Nick Cannon\u2019s daytime talk show will premiere later this year after initially being pushed off due to antisemitic comments he made in 2020, it was announced on Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Liongate\u2019s Debmar-Mercury and Fox Television Stations said in a press release<\/a> that a nationally syndicated daytime talk show hosted by the media personality will begin airing this fall.<\/span><\/p>\n

The show was originally set to premiere in September 2020 but was postponed after he promoted antisemitic conspiracy theories<\/a> on his podcast \u201cCannon\u2019s Class\u201d last summer, and slammed critics of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who has referred to Jews as \u201ctermites.\u201d He initially refused to<\/a> apologize for his remarks, but days later took to social media to voice regret for<\/a> his \u201churtful and divisive words.\u201d At the time he also demanded an apology<\/a> from ViacomCBS, the media giant that ended its partnership with Cannon because of his antisemitic statements.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus, co-presidents of Debmar-Mercury, said about the new talk show, \u201cWe, along with our many other strong broadcast partners, are excited to be able to bring Nick\u2019s unique, light-hearted and entertaining style to the daytime audience starting this fall.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Cannon added, \u201cIt\u2019s been a longtime dream of mine to host my own daytime talk show and that I\u2019m able to do this in New York City, bringing daytime television back to the place that has fostered generations of talent, is very special to me. With this show, we\u2019ll be uniting all aspects of entertainment in a unique way in the very place where a lot of what we know today as our culture started. I couldn\u2019t ask for better partners than Debmar-Mercury and FOX<\/em> and thank them for supporting me in this endeavor.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Cannon, who hosts FOX<\/em>\u2018s celebrity competition series \u201cThe Masked Singer,\u201d will executive produce the New York-based show alongside his longtime manager, Michael Goldman and showrunners Katy Murphy Davis and Matt Strauss. Davis (\u201cThe Oprah Winfrey Show,\u201d \u201cRed Table Talk\u201d) and Strauss (\u201cThe View,\u201d \u201cThe Dr. Oz Show,\u201d \u201cKatie\u201d) are both Daytime Emmy Award-winning producers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cannon will continue to host \u201cThe Masked Singer,\u201d which will release two more installments this year. He hosted eight seasons of NBC<\/em>\u2019s talent competition series, \u201cAmerica\u2019s Got Talent,\u201d and is the host and producer of the nationally syndicated radio show \u201cNick Cannon Radio.\u201d Cannon is also the creator, host, and executive producer of MTV<\/em>\u2018s sketch comedy show \u201cWild \u2018N Out,\u201d which recently aired its 15th season.<\/span><\/p>\n
