Josh Peck gave talk show host Ryan Seacrest a brief lesson in Yiddish during the Jewish actor\u2019s virtual guest appearance on \u201cLive with Kelly and Ryan\u201d on Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Peck, who stars in the Disney+ show \u201cTurner & Hooch,\u201d was asked by Jewish actress Katie Lowes, the morning show\u2019s guest co-host, what he misses the most about his life before the coronavirus pandemic. Peck replied, \u201cI\u2019m a bit of a \u2018shvitz\u2019<\/em> guy. I like a good sweat, and you just can\u2019t do that post-COVID. Not right now.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Lowes then proceeded to explain to a confused Seacrest and the audience that \u201cshvitz<\/em>\u201d means sweat. She asked Peck to clarify, \u201cSo you miss going into a sauna or a steam room or something like that?\u201d and Peck responded that he misses going to a sauna for a \u201cdetox.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Trying to understand, Seacrest repeated the Yiddish word and asked if \u201cshvitz\u201d<\/em> is a \u201cself-induced sweat\u201d and \u201cWhat if I go to a hammam? Is that similar?\u201d Lowes then explained to Seacrest the difference between \u201cshvitzing<\/em>\u201d and \u201chaving a shvitz<\/em>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
