The leaders of countries that are the enemies of the United States seemed even more delighted. Iran&#8217;s then President Hassan Rouhani said on November 5, 2020: &#8220;The next US administration will surrender to the Iranian nation&#8221;. Communist China&#8217;s President Xi Jinping said nothing but instantly stepped up military provocations against Taiwan and Australia, India, the Philippines and Japan.<\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5>From the first days of its existence, the Biden administration spoke of terrorism, but seemingly to refer only to &#8220;white supremacy&#8221; and &#8220;domestic terrorism&#8221; &#8212; evidently meaning Republicans and other Americans who had voted for Trump. Concessions to Islamic terrorism quickly followed. On February 12, the Houthi militia was removed from the Department of State list of terrorist organizations and started to receive US humanitarian aid. A few weeks later, their attacks on Saudi Arabia resumed. On February 18, the UN sanctions on Iran reinstated by Trump were rescinded, and economic sanctions partially lifted. Iran could now deliver missiles to Hamas, which used them in May to launch a massive attack on Israel.<\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5>The Afghan disaster was put in place. The Biden administration, unlike the Trump administration, had shown the Taliban and al-Qaeda that they had nothing to fear. The American media and the rest of the Western world hardly commented on the deceitful, catastrophic and deadly way the United States surrendered Afghanistan.<\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5>An editorial of the French newspaper\u00a0<i>Le Monde<\/i>\u00a0spoke with joy of the &#8220;long list of humiliations suffered by the United States&#8221;. Several European leaders said they feared a return of Islamic terrorism to Europe, and started to react as most European leaders have reacted for decades: by trying to appease those who threaten their countries.<\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5>Meanwhile, the only person under investigation for the completely avoidable strategic failure of America&#8217;s surrender to the Taliban in Afghanistan is decorated US Marine officer, Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller. He is currently in pre-trial detention at the Marine Corps brig at Camp Lejeune, for violating a &#8220;gag order&#8221; to bar him from asking senior leaders for accountability.<\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5>&#8220;What do you call a party whose leaders require all of America&#8217;s soldiers to undergo indoctrination in an ideology that calls for the &#8216;dismantling&#8217; of America and tells them that their oath to defend the Constitution is an oath to defend a document that codifies &#8216;white supremacy&#8217;?&#8230; You call it treason.&#8221; \u2014 David Horowitz, author and former Black Panther,\u00a0<i>Front Page Magazine<\/i>, September 14, 2021.<\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article_body itemprop_articlebody\">\n<table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gatestoneinstitute.org\/pics\/1634.jpg\" width=\"100%\" border=\"0\" \/><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>The election of President Joe Biden under extremely questionable conditions was hugely welcomed by many in America and Europe&#8230;. Nearly\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20190412061131\/http:\/www.orgsites.com\/va\/asis151\/Sep11Memorial.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">3,000<\/a>\u00a0people were killed. Americans reacted with\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2021\/sep\/9\/rise-up-911-twenty-years-on\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">determination and dignity<\/a>. American flags were soon everywhere. The idea that the attacks should not go unpunished seemed unanimous. It was promptly proven that the attack came from\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20130404225943\/http:\/archives.cnn.com\/2002\/WORLD\/meast\/09\/05\/alqaeda.911.claim\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">al-Qaeda<\/a>; on\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.history.com\/this-day-in-history\/u-s-led-attack-on-afghanistan-begins\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">October 7<\/a>, the US military started to crush the rear bases of al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and the Taliban who housed them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Twenty years later, the situation is on its head. Solemn commemorations were\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2021\/sep\/11\/bell-chimes-at-the-world-trade-center-signaling-th\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">held<\/a>\u00a0in Washington, Shanksville and New York, but\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2021\/jul\/25\/majority-americans-view-future-negatively-pessimis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">anxiety<\/a>\u00a0and anger pervaded the atmosphere of the country. US President Joe Biden\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/us\/biden-commemorates-911-anniversary-with-stops-all-three-attack-sites-2021-09-11\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">attended<\/a>\u00a0the commemorations but did not speak. Instead, he released a\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=m7zOXidWq-Q\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">videotaped speech<\/a>\u00a0in which he said he would hunt down &#8220;those seeking to do harm to America&#8221; \u200b\u200band make them pay. These words, to many people, seemed hopelessly out of touch. The United States had just surrendered Afghanistan without even an attempt at resistance in an atmosphere of chaos,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/2021\/08\/20\/afghanistan-kabul-taliban-live-updates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">duplicity<\/a>\u00a0and defeat. The Taliban are in power\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-asia-49192495\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">again<\/a>, and\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/video.foxnews.com\/v\/6273181564001#sp=show-clips\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">al-Qaeda<\/a>\u00a0&#8212; intermarried and effectively interchangeable with them &#8212; at their side.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">How an American administration could\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2021\/08\/joe-biden-surrendered-taliban-terrorists-regent-university-dean-former-us-congresswoman-michele-bachmann-bidens-inexplicable-surrender\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">give<\/a>\u00a0the power back to the same enemy &#8212; offering\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2021\/09\/taliban-suicide-bombers-march-thursdays-victory-parade-us-blackhawk-helicopter-draped-islamic-flag-flies-herat-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">victory<\/a>\u00a0to Islamic terrorism and inflicting on the United States an unprecedented\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/bidens-vainglory-humiliation-afghanistan-withdrawal-evacuation-taliban-kabul-crisis-11630346559\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">humiliation<\/a>\u00a0&#8212; requires understanding what has happened in the US since 9\/11: a relentless work of undermining the United States to erode and destroy its power, and its will to defend itself and victoriously fight its enemies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">President George W. Bush set his goals quickly after the 2001 attack. As early as September 14, he\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov\/news\/releases\/2001\/09\/20010914-2.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a>: &#8220;Our responsibility to history is already clear: to answer these attacks and rid the world of evil.&#8221; Three days later, on September 17, he\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/voicesofdemocracy.umd.edu\/bush-an-address-to-a-joint-session-of-congress-speech-text\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">spoke<\/a>\u00a0of the terrorists:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>&#8220;We have seen their kind before. They are the heirs of all the murderous ideologies of the 20th century&#8230;. [B]y abandoning every value except the will to power\u2013they follow in the path of fascism, and Nazism, and totalitarianism&#8230; The advance of human freedom \u2013 the great achievement of our time, and the great hope of every time\u2013now depends on us&#8230; We will rally the world to this cause by our efforts, by our courage. We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Bush\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/voicesofdemocracy.umd.edu\/bush-an-address-to-a-joint-session-of-congress-speech-text\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">spoke<\/a>\u00a0of a &#8220;war on terror&#8221;: &#8220;Our war on terror begins with al Qaeda, but it does not end there.&#8221; &#8220;Every nation,&#8221; he\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"http:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2001\/US\/09\/20\/gen.bush.transcript\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">added<\/a>\u00a0on September 20, &#8220;in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Almost immediately, the unanimity that seemed to exist began to break down. On September 24, a liberal magazine,\u00a0<i>The New Yorker,<\/i>\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/magazine\/2001\/09\/24\/tuesday-and-after-talk-of-the-town\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">published<\/a>\u00a0a series of reactions to the attack written by supposed intellectuals. Most expressed reservations about the reaction that had taken shape. A political activist, Susan Sontag,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"http:\/\/groups.colgate.edu\/aarislam\/susan.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hinted<\/a>\u00a0that the attack was probably the fault of the United States: &#8221; this was not a &#8220;cowardly&#8221; attack on &#8220;civilization&#8221; or &#8220;liberty&#8221; or &#8220;humanity&#8221; or &#8220;the free world&#8221; but an attack on the world&#8217;s self-proclaimed super-power, undertaken as a consequence of specific American alliances and actions&#8221;.\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/entry\/why-do-they-hate-us_2_b_957277\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hostility<\/a>\u00a0to President Bush, to freedom, and to the will to wage war began to take shape. The rest of the Western world\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.monde-diplomatique.fr\/2001\/10\/RAMONET\/7811\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">followed<\/a>\u00a0a similar path. The leaders of several countries in Europe said they supported the United States, but\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsws.org\/en\/articles\/2001\/10\/fra-o18.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">many<\/a>\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vie-publique.fr\/discours\/187731-interview-de-m-jean-louis-debre-president-du-groupe-parlementaire-rpr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">seemed<\/a>\u00a0lacking in firmness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">On January 29, 2002, President Bush, in his State of the Union\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov\/news\/releases\/2002\/01\/20020129-11.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">address<\/a>, referred to an &#8220;axis of evil&#8221;, and cited three countries: North Korea, Iran and Iraq. On October 7, in a\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov\/news\/releases\/2002\/10\/20021007-8.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">speech<\/a>\u00a0on Iraq, he explained in detail the many crimes committed by the Iraq&#8217;s president at the time, Saddam Hussein, and\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov\/news\/releases\/2002\/10\/20021007-8.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">stated<\/a>\u00a0that the US was considering war if Saddam Hussein did not choose to declare and destroy &#8220;all of its weapons of mass destruction&#8221;, &#8220;end its support for terrorism&#8221;, and &#8220;cease the persecution of its civilian population&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The notion of an &#8220;axis of evil&#8221; was swiftly\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2011\/11\/04\/opinion\/listening-to-the-axis-of-evil.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">declared<\/a>\u00a0&#8220;simplistic and dangerous&#8221; by\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/archives\/article\/2002\/02\/15\/washington-l-axe-du-mal-et-l-irak_4208164_1819218.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">various<\/a>\u00a0commentators; and throughout 2002, the hostility of many in America and abroad in the Western world towards Bush&#8217;s policy grew\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2002\/nov\/14\/usa.iraq\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">stronger<\/a>. It became even more\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/scholar.lib.vt.edu\/InterNews\/LeMonde\/issues\/2002\/monde.20020920.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pronounced<\/a>\u00a0after President Bush&#8217;s speech on Iraq. Two European prime ministers continued firmly to support the United States: Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/uk-news\/2016\/jul\/06\/with-you-whatever-tony-blair-letters-george-w-bush-chilcot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tony Blair<\/a>\u00a0and Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov\/news\/releases\/2003\/02\/20030222-2.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jose Maria Aznar<\/a>, but French President Jacques Chirac, who had long term\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2019\/09\/29\/ex-french-president-jacques-chirac-was-bribed-by-saddam-hussein-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">financial links<\/a>\u00a0with Saddam Hussein,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.brut.media\/us\/international\/jacques-chirac-s-iraq-war-opposition-04fab682-ce7c-4646-9cd3-0560b1653e4a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">opposed<\/a>\u00a0the war, tried to\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aei.org\/op-eds\/jacques-chirac-represented-cynical-corruption-on-the-iraq-war-not-restraint\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">save<\/a>\u00a0the Iraqi dictatorship, and brought behind him\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2003\/01\/24\/axis-of-weasel-germany-and-france-wimp-out-on-iraq-colin-raps-french-german-wimps\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Germany<\/a>\u00a0and most of the rest of Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Saddam Hussein chose not to comply, and in 2003, in a matter of weeks, the war was\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/saddam-toppled-in-baghdad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">over.<\/a>\u00a0Islamists, however, had come to Iraq from all over the Muslim world to fight &#8220;the infidels,&#8221; wage\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2006\/04\/iraq-war-terror-andrew-c-mccarthy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">holy war<\/a>, kill and die, and an insurgency started that lasted until a US troop surge in 2007. By 2008, Iraq was\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.meforum.org\/2788\/sons-of-iraq\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">stabilized<\/a>, but what the late journalist Charles Krauthammer\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.deseret.com\/2003\/12\/7\/19799473\/charles-krauthammer-bush-derangement-syndrome-is-spreading\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">called<\/a>\u00a0the &#8220;Bush derangement syndrome&#8221; &#8212; which he defined as &#8220;the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency \u2014 nay \u2014 the very existence of George W. Bush &#8221; &#8212; began to emerge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Relentless, frenzied protests swept across the United States and Western Europe. Protesters held up signs\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/wingnuts-excerpt-bush-derangement-syndrome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">comparing<\/a>\u00a0Bush to Hitler and declaring him the worst terrorist on earth. Books were\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/books.google.com\/books\/about\/George_W_Bush_War_Criminal.html?id=-DR-1TjtUcEC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">published<\/a>\u00a0accusing Bush of war crimes. A\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/slate.com\/news-and-politics\/2004\/06\/the-lies-of-michael-moore.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">propaganda film<\/a>\u00a0by filmmaker Michael Moore, based entirely on conspiracy theories alleging Bush family ties to the Bin Ladens and Saudi royals, received the Cannes Film Festival&#8217;s 2004\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2004\/may\/24\/uselections2004.cannes2004\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Palme d&#8217;Or<\/a>\u00a0and enjoyed worldwide success. The film left out all the crimes committed by Saddam Hussein. That he had\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-middle-east-21814734\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">exterminated<\/a>\u00a0dozens of thousands of Kurds with\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hrw.org\/reports\/1991\/IRAQ913.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">chemical weapons<\/a>\u00a0a few years before 2001, and his other\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov\/news\/releases\/2003\/09\/20030929-14.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">crimes against humanity<\/a>, apparently did not matter, and Saddam Hussein was described as someone who had never possessed\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/archives.frontpagemag.com\/fpm\/saddams-wmds-lefts-iraq-lies-exposed-arnold-ahlert\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">weapons of mass destruction<\/a>. Although Bush said from the start that he was not waging war on Islam, he was accused of it anyhow. That Islamic terrorism was still a clear and present danger, and that eliminating terrorists could be a good thing, was ignored. Instead, Bush was\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/conversations\/2017\/1\/6\/14166684\/terrorism-iraq-war-al-qaeda-9-11-donald-trump-bush-obama-afghanistan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">accused<\/a>\u00a0of creating terrorists. During Bush&#8217;s presidency, no further terrorist attacks in the Western world took place &#8212; a situation that was also ignored. For millions of Americans and Europeans, from 2003 to 2008, the only monster on the planet, and the only danger to eliminate, was President George W. Bush.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">This was the context for the election of Barack Obama to the presidency in 2008. Obama had described himself during the election campaign as a redeemer: the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=EcRA2AZsR2Q\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">embodiment<\/a>\u00a0of &#8220;hope&#8221; and &#8220;change&#8221;. Three months before the election, in July 2008, he had visited Germany, where he\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2008\/07\/24\/us\/politics\/24text-obama.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">promised<\/a>\u00a0to &#8220;finally bring this war to a close&#8221;. His past as a community organizer was considered by most journalists a\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2008\/07\/07\/us\/politics\/07community.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">positive quality<\/a>. After a triumphant election, he at once asked his administration to stop speaking of the &#8220;war on terror&#8221;, and instead to use the watered-down expression, &#8220;<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2009\/mar\/25\/obama-war-terror-overseas-contingency-operations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">overseas contingency operations<\/a>&#8220;. He never spoke of &#8220;terrorists&#8221; and replaced the word with &#8220;violent extremists&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">On May 21, 2009, he\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/obamawhitehouse.archives.gov\/the-press-office\/remarks-president-national-security-5-21-09\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rejected<\/a>\u00a0the entire foreign policy of the George W. Bush administration. &#8220;We went off course,&#8221; Obama said, and promised to take the country in another direction. On June 4, in Cairo, he delivered a\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/obamawhitehouse.archives.gov\/issues\/foreign-policy\/presidents-speech-cairo-a-new-beginning\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">speech<\/a>\u00a0praising to Islam and criticizing the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Regarding Afghanistan, which he called &#8220;<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2017\/01\/01\/world\/asia\/obama-afghanistan-war.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the good war<\/a>,&#8221; as opposed to Iraq&#8217;s, Obama imposed the most restrictive\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/templates\/story\/story.php?storyId=121012747\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rules of engagement<\/a>\u00a0on the US military, a decision that resulted in the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2013\/dec\/5\/increase-in-battlefield-deaths-linked-to-new-rules\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">deaths<\/a>\u00a0of many US soldiers. In 2011, Obama supported the seizure of power in\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/SB10001424052702304450604576418041037883256\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tunisia<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/opinion\/why-did-the-obama-administration-support-morsis-muslim-brotherhood-563641\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Egypt<\/a>\u00a0by members of the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/opinion\/why-did-the-obama-administration-support-morsis-muslim-brotherhood-563641\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Muslim Brotherhood<\/a>, an organization defined even by some Muslim countries as\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.govinfo.gov\/content\/pkg\/CHRG-115hhrg31367\/html\/CHRG-115hhrg31367.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">terrorist<\/a>. He\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2011\/oct\/21\/obama-us-troops-withdrawal-iraq\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">withdrew<\/a>\u00a0America&#8217;s combat troops from Iraq, with the result that al-Qaeda, which had been\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2010\/04\/20\/world\/middleeast\/20baghdad.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">destroyed<\/a>\u00a0under George W. Bush, was reborn under another name: Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). ISIS proceeded to conquer a\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/video\/isis-gaining-more-territory-by-the-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">vast territory<\/a>\u00a0which, thirteen years after the destruction of Al-Qaeda&#8217;s bases in Afghanistan, became a new center for Islamic terrorism and a source of inspiration for\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wilsoncenter.org\/article\/timeline-the-rise-spread-and-fall-the-islamic-state\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Islamic terrorists worldwide<\/a>. Islamic attacks, which had virtually disappeared during the presidency of George W. Bush, reappeared. The years 2015-2016 were marked by a\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2016\/11\/16\/world\/global-terrorism-report\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">grisly wave<\/a>\u00a0of them throughout Western Europe and the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Obama developed and\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/archives.frontpagemag.com\/fpm\/obamas-iran-nuke-deal-lies-joseph-klein\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">approved<\/a>\u00a0the signing in July 2015 of the Iran nuclear deal. Iran also\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.israelnationalnews.com\/News\/News.aspx\/285752\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">received<\/a>\u00a0from the Obama administration billions of dollars which the mullahs quickly used to\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.americanthinker.com\/articles\/2019\/09\/how_obamas_iran_deal_funded_terrorism.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fund<\/a>\u00a0various Islamic terrorist organizations, thereby making Iran the world&#8217;s\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.israelhayom.com\/2018\/09\/20\/iran-still-worlds-top-terror-sponsor-us-state-department-report-finds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">leading financier<\/a>\u00a0of international Islamic terrorism. Although Obama did\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.history.com\/topics\/21st-century\/obama-announces-death-of-osama-bin-laden-video\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">eliminate<\/a>\u00a0Osama bin Laden, the assassination did not curb the spread of Islamic terrorism taking place at the time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The press and the public in the West treated Obama as if he were an idol. Although many\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"http:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2015\/11\/13\/world\/paris-shooting\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bloody<\/a>\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-england-manchester-51926162\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">attacks<\/a>\u00a0took place in Western Europe during his presidency &#8212; and although Western Europe suffered heavily from the creation of ISIS and the disorders created throughout the Muslim world during his term (more than a\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/number-of-refugees-entering-europe-this-year-tops-1-million-agency-says\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">million migrants<\/a>\u00a0burst into Europe in 2015-2016) &#8212; the leaders of Western Europe did not stop praising him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">For many in America and Western Europe, the election President Donald J. Trump came as a\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/campaign\/305034-trump-wins-white-house-delivering-shock-to-political-system\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">shock<\/a>. Although Trump had defined the war in Iraq as a &#8220;<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=m5V2jqnHGWg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">terrible mistake<\/a>&#8221; and had criticized George W. Bush, he was and still is subjected to continuous demonization from the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pacificpundit.com\/2019\/11\/24\/remember-this-washington-post-headline-on-1-20-17-campaign-to-impeach-trump-has-begun\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">press<\/a>, the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2019\/10\/13\/inside-the-medias-relentless-crusade-to-destroy-president-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">media,<\/a>\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.seattletimes.com\/nation-world\/nation-politics\/what-happened-when-donald-trump-was-banned-from-social-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">social media<\/a>, the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.americanlibertyemail.com\/articles\/the-cia-worked-against-trump-as-well\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CIA,<\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Russia-Hoax-Illicit-Hillary-Clinton\/dp\/0062872745\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FBI<\/a>, the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/media\/322477-nyt-columnist-urges-irs-employees-to-unlawfully-leak-trumps-tax-returns\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IRS<\/a>, the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Russia-Hoax-Illicit-Hillary-Clinton\/dp\/0062872745\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Department of Justice<\/a>\u00a0even more hostile than that undergone by President George W. Bush.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Trump, during his campaign, used two expressions borrowed from Ronald Reagan: &#8220;<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=SBfzwycHOcY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Make America great again<\/a>&#8221; and &#8220;<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reaganlibrary.gov\/permanent-exhibits\/peace-through-strength\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Peace through strength<\/a>&#8221; &#8212; revealing that the direction he intended to follow was not at all the same as Obama&#8217;s. It was clear that he would fight Islamic terrorism. No major Islamic terrorist attack occurred under his presidency. Yet, to this day, many in America and the rest of the West continue to\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=mYFcJit5Ol8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pour out<\/a>\u00a0intense\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nouvelobs.com\/l-amerique-selon-trump\/20210228.OBS40747\/trump-refait-surface-et-la-planete-politique-est-prise-d-un-frisson.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hatred<\/a>\u00a0against him. Biden was widely described as embodying the return to &#8220;<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/opinion\/articles\/2021-01-21\/team-biden-professionalism-returns-to-the-white-house\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">professionalism<\/a>&#8221; and &#8220;<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lepoint.fr\/monde\/en-direct-joe-biden-elu-president-des-etats-unis-l-ere-trump-prend-fin-07-11-2020-2399928_24.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">seriousness<\/a>&#8221; after four supposedly horrible years. The leaders of countries that are the enemies of the United States seemed even more delighted. Iran&#8217;s then President Hassan Rouhani\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/iranintl.com\/en\/world\/rouhani-says-next-us-president-has-surrender-iranian-people\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a>\u00a0on November 5, 2020: &#8220;The next US administration will surrender to the Iranian nation&#8221;. Communist China&#8217;s President Xi Jinping said nothing but instantly stepped up military provocations against\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/foreignpolicy.com\/2021\/04\/14\/taiwan-china-jets-incursions-military-tensions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Taiwan<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/b764e4c9-cc38-43b6-848c-dba0cbc6475a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Australia<\/a>,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-asia-55793112\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">India,<\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/asia-pacific\/philippines-protests-chinas-threatening-south-china-sea-presence-2021-04-23\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Philippines<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.business-standard.com\/article\/international\/china-threatens-japan-with-nuclear-war-over-intervention-in-taiwan-121072300030_1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Japan.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">From the first days of its existence, the Biden administration spoke of terrorism, but seemingly to refer only to &#8220;<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.frontpagemag.com\/fpm\/2021\/08\/biden-white-supremacy-most-lethal-threat-our-robert-spencer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">white supremacy<\/a>&#8221; and &#8220;<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2021\/01\/20\/inaugural-address-by-president-joseph-r-biden-jr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">domestic terrorism<\/a>&#8221; &#8212; evidently meaning Republicans and other Americans who had voted for Trump. Concessions to Islamic terrorism quickly followed. On February 12, the Houthi militia was\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/state-dept-officially-revokes-houthis-terror-designation-despite-attack-on-saudi-airport\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">removed<\/a>\u00a0from the Department of State list of terrorist organizations and started to receive US\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/us-resume-aid-houthi-controlled-areas-yemen-amid\/story?id=76395980\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">humanitarian aid<\/a>. A few weeks later, their attacks on Saudi Arabia\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.criticalthreats.org\/analysis\/april-2021-map-update-al-houthi-attacks-on-saudi-arabia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">resumed<\/a>. On February 18, the UN sanctions on Iran reinstated by Trump were\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/news\/world\/articles\/2021-02-18\/biden-withdraws-trumps-restoration-of-un-sanctions-on-iran\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rescinded<\/a>, and economic sanctions partially lifted. Iran could now\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.al-monitor.com\/originals\/2021\/04\/report-outlines-how-iran-smuggles-arms-hamas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">deliver<\/a>\u00a0missiles to Hamas, which used them in May to launch a\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2021\/may\/10\/hamas-fires-rockets-deep-israel-escalating-tension\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">massive attack<\/a>\u00a0on Israel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2021\/08\/the-afghan-disaster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Afghan disaster<\/a>\u00a0was put in place. The Biden administration, unlike the Trump administration, had shown the Taliban and al-Qaeda that they had nothing to fear. The American media and the rest of the Western world hardly commented on the deceitful, catastrophic and deadly way the United States surrendered Afghanistan.
