Of all the things they shared with me, one quote stood out:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong>There is no scientific truth, only replicable science. Then it becomes theory, but not law. And not truth. There are fundamental laws of physics that have been overturned. Law is not truth, law is law, and in science, law can be overturned.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Somehow, in the madness, fear, confusion, and paranoia of our two-year sojourn through COVID-19, that basic definition of scientific truth\u2014that it is ever-evolving, and inimical to dogmatism\u2014has been largely mocked, denigrated, and ignored, if not met with slogans like \u201cbelieve science.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">This anti-scientific attitude has become common among scientists, too\u2014ones who, like Dr. Anthony Fauci,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/06\/09\/fauci-says-attacks-on-him-are-attacks-on-science\/\">assume<\/a>\u00a0that \u201cattacks on me quite frankly are attacks on science.\u201d There are the medical doctors, who are convinced that results from a single clinical trial, conducted by Pfizer, of Pfizer\u2019s own new antiviral pill are more legitimate than hundreds of clinical trials and observational studies of existing medications not produced by Pfizer. There are scientific and medical journal editors who refuse to publish papers that they believe might undermine existing consensus, preferring instead to publish papers that must later be retracted as\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/06\/14\/health\/virus-journals.html\">fraudulent<\/a>. Then there are the politicians who have been curiously uninterested in the origins of a novel, mysterious, and paradigm-shifting virus, and the journalists and \u201cfact-checkers\u201d whose work has invariably supported ever-shifting public health wisdom, often by simply quoting press releases from the pharmaceutical companies and government agencies whose claims they\u2019re supposed to be evaluating in the first place.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">In the face of censorship, undermining, and mockery driven by authoritarian bureaucrats and tech platforms that increasingly function as private arms of the state, a smaller group of scientists, many of whom are also medical doctors, have continually spoken up to question the scientific consensus on whatever platforms they could find. We\u2019re calling them \u201cThe Dissidents,\u201d merely because they have spoken up against official policy. The term\u2019s connotation of rebellion or revolution has nothing to do with what these thinkers represent: In their Talmudic approach to the pandemic, posing questions of questions and questions of other questioners, they are instead voices that have sought to uphold the past 400 years of scientific tradition and practice, rather than overturn it.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Some of their questions have been prescient and vindicated; others might appear conspiratorial or extreme. But the main point is that they have asked and continue to ask questions, while a majority of their peers have\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tabletmag.com\/sections\/science\/articles\/pandemic-science\">done away with the scientific method<\/a>\u00a0or have been cowed into silence.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">On Monday, Drs. Jay Bhattacharya, Harvey Risch, Pierre Kory, Aaron Kheriaty, Peter McCullough, and Robert Malone appeared together on a panel at the U.S. Capitol moderated by Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., titled \u201c<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/vt62y6-covid-19-a-second-opinion.html\">COVID-19: A Second Opinion<\/a>.\u201d Dr. Malone opened his remarks by making one thing clear:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong>In my opinion we should not have politicized the public health response to SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19. This is a bipartisan issue, and the physicians represented here are truly a bipartisan group; I\u2019m not, although I\u2019ve been characterized as a right-wing Proud Boy, I\u2019ve previously supported both President Obama and President Biden\u2019s campaigns, but the course of events have forced me to rethink a lot of my positions, and I think that\u2019s the case with many of my peers.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\">\n<div class=\"Divider Divider--dotted-rule overflow-hidden\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>THE GREAT BARRINGTON THREE: MARTIN KULLDORFF, JAY BHATTACHARYA, AND SUNETRA GUPTA<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Drs.\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/stanford.edu\/~jay\/CV-Jay-June2021.pdf\">Jay Bhattacharya<\/a>\u00a0of Stanford,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/media\/116436\/download\">Martin Kulldorff<\/a>\u00a0of Harvard, and\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.academia-net.org\/profil\/prof-sunetra-gupta\/1135426\">Sunetra Gupta<\/a>\u00a0of Oxford came together in October 2020 at Kulldorff\u2019s invitation to discuss alternatives to lockdowns: The\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/gbdeclaration.org\/#read\">Great Barrington Declaration<\/a>\u00a0was born. In that document, they suggested a strategy akin to what Sweden had done: Focused protection of the elderly and the most vulnerable, and normal life for everyone else, with the goal of avoiding unintended harms\u2014physical, mental,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tabletmag.com\/sections\/news\/articles\/school-closures-covid-alex-gutentag\">developmental<\/a>, and economic\u2014among the broader population. Over 60,000 medical professionals have signed on.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The GB3 advocated this approach on the basis of precedent, which had shown that lockdowns \u201cdo not reduce the total number of cases in the long run and have never in history led to the eradication of a disease.\u201d The current waves of COVID in Australia, New Zealand, and China help illustrate this hypothesis.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Scientific papers authored or co-authored by the GB3 have been cited by other scientists a total of 59,145 times (and counting). But neither their long publication histories nor their lofty academic affiliations mattered to Dr. Francis Collins, then-director of the National Institutes of Health, when he called them \u201cthe three fringe epidemiologists\u201d in an October 2020 email to Fauci of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. In the emails, recently released via Freedom of Information Act request, the two leaders of the United States\u2019 medical science establishment\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/fauci-collins-emails-great-barrington-declaration-covid-pandemic-lockdown-11640129116\">colluded<\/a>\u00a0to discredit the three leading scientists and their message because it dissented from what was then state orthodoxy.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">All three have taken\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/debate\/article-8899277\/Professor-Sunetra-Gupta-reveals-crisis-ruthlessly-weaponised.html\">flak<\/a>\u00a0from\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/mkt_app\/stanford-professor-responds-to-masking-criticism-discussion-on-covid-19-data_4013284.html?slsuccess=1\">colleagues<\/a>; the noise may have reached its apotheosis on Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2022, when the editor-in-chief of\u00a0<em>Science<\/em>\u00a0magazine\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hholdenthorp\/status\/1483145442481352716\">tweeted<\/a>\u00a0in response to Kulldorff, \u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s going out on a limb to say that MLK would not have been a fan of the Great Barrington Declaration.\u201d Says who?<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>HARVEY RISCH<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Dr. Harvey Risch is professor of epidemiology and a cancer etiologist at the Yale School of Public Health. He has authored more than 350 original peer-reviewed research papers, which have been cited by others more than 44,000 times. He tells Tablet he has read \u201cnearly 3,000\u201d scientific papers and documents on COVID over the past two years.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">In April 2020, Risch was asked to advise the state of Connecticut on potential early outpatient treatment options. His\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/aje\/article\/189\/11\/1218\/5847586\">initial review<\/a>\u00a0of the evidence was published on May 27, 2020, and it concluded that given the options available at the time, the use of hydroxychloroquine in combination with azithromycin and\/or doxycycline, and zinc could be used in outpatients to prevent hospitalization.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">In August of 2020, other epidemiologists published a\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/labs\/pmc\/articles\/PMC7499476\/\">rebuttal<\/a>\u00a0to his initial review, criticizing aspects of his methodology and the quality of evidence cited. But Risch has continually monitored the emerging data, and in June 2021, he gave a\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=x2DxP-6wHoY\">lecture<\/a>\u00a0in which he presented a new meta-analysis in favor of his original case, citing 10 studies (<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/pgibertie.files.wordpress.com\/2020\/04\/2020.04.15-journal-manuscript-final.pdf\">1<\/a>,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC8262389\/\">2<\/a>,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mediterranee-infection.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/MS-IHU-Preprint.pdf\">3<\/a>,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S0924857920304301\">4<\/a>,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s41999-020-00432-w\">5<\/a>,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aging-us.com\/article\/202307\/pdf\">6<\/a>,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/bmcinfectdis.biomedcentral.com\/track\/pdf\/10.1186\/s12879-021-05773-w.pdf\">7<\/a>,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S1477893920304026\">8<\/a>,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.medrxiv.org\/content\/10.1101\/2020.09.09.20184143v1\">9<\/a>,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1567576921002721\">10<\/a>), eight of which were newly incorporated. At the very least, his work shows that the case\u00a0<em>against\u00a0<\/em>hydroxychloroquine isn\u2019t \u201csettled.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Risch mentions in his lecture that he supports using hydroxychloroquine with some of its \u201cfriends,\u201d e.g., azithromycin or doxycycline, colchicine, fluvoxamine, budesonide, zinc, vitamin D, bromhexine, or aspirin. He says \u201cHCQ works by itself, but not well enough, really for what we want to accomplish.\u201d He has\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/transcript\/the-medical-establishments-war-on-covid-therapeutics\">championed<\/a>\u00a0early outpatient treatment using cocktails of repurposed, FDA-approved pharmaceuticals, including in front of a\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hsgac.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/Testimony-Risch-2020-11-19.pdf\">Senate committee<\/a>\u00a0on Nov. 19, 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">He told Tablet that the question he would most like answered in 2022 is, \u201cFor whose interests did these regulatory agencies [FDA, CDC] contrive to abet the needless deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans who could have been saved by use of early outpatient treatment that these agencies suppressed?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>ROBERT MALONE<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Dr. Robert Malone was a young man in 1987-89 when he\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rwmalonemd.com\/rna-vaccine-inventor\">helped develop<\/a>\u00a0the initial concept for the RNA and DNA vaccines later brought to fruition in the current vaccines produced by Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, et al. In the past 20 years he has worked extensively in biotechnology, developing vaccines and consulting with the U.S. government on biodefense. The saga of Malone and COVID can be tied to two podcast episodes on which he appeared during the pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The first was a June 11, 2021\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/episode\/2GkYPouJqLMnMqDzMsdaeh?si=0424e0517c2f424b\">episode<\/a>\u00a0of Bret Weinstein\u2019s DarkHorse podcast featuring Malone, Weinstein, and the entrepreneur Steve Kirsch. For three hours, the three discussed both observed and theoretical information that suggested the possibility that mRNA vaccines might be dangerous for some recipients. By virtue of his expertise, Malone explained the potential mechanism of action that might cause damage (starting at 13:10 in the podcast). Malone himself received two doses of Moderna and says he suffered severe and sudden hypertension (high blood pressure) as a result.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Throughout 2021, Malone helped lead the charge for greater scrutiny of vaccine safety while being pilloried by tech platforms as a vector of disinformation, incurring warning labels on his descriptions of vaccines that he helped to conceive. He has been unequivocal in his plea to avoid giving mRNA vaccines to\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/rwmalonemd.substack.com\/p\/covid-19-genetic-vaccine-safety-in\">children<\/a>. The\u00a0<em>Atlantic\u00a0<\/em>has since\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/science\/archive\/2021\/08\/robert-malone-vaccine-inventor-vaccine-skeptic\/619734\/\">painted<\/a>\u00a0him as a fame-hungry spreader of misinformation, and he has been kicked off of Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. (He is now on\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/rwmalonemd.substack.com\/\">Substack<\/a>.)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The culmination of Malone\u2019s public communication efforts last year came on Dec. 30, when he sat down with Joe Rogan to\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/episode\/3SCsueX2bZdbEzRtKOCEyT?si=327f48317210466b\">discuss<\/a>\u00a0all things COVID. One of Malone\u2019s assertions in the now-infamous podcast stood out: the concept of\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.peakprosperity.com\/mattias-desmet-on-mass-formation\/\">Mass Formation Psychosis<\/a>\u00a0and its role in the current pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">When queried, Malone told Tablet that his most pressing question for 2022 is, \u201cWhat did Tony Fauci, Francis Collins, and Jeremy Farrar discuss, using burner phones to avoid detection, when it became clear that they had funded the development (by EcoHealth Alliance) of the SARS-CoV-2 virus?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>VINAY PRASAD<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Dr.\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vinayakkprasad.com\/\">Vinay Prasad<\/a>\u00a0is a hematologist\/oncologist and associate professor of epidemiology and biostatistics at the University of California San Francisco, who first made waves by challenging the shibboleths of corporate medicine, as summarized in a 2017 Stat news\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.statnews.com\/2017\/09\/15\/vinay-prasad-profile\/\">profile<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Prasad\u2019s commentary during the pandemic has extended to many topics, but the first, and dearest to his heart, has been the importance of\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.statnews.com\/2020\/04\/27\/hear-scientists-different-views-covid-19-dont-attack-them\/\">remaining open<\/a>\u00a0to all points of view in trying to solve the crisis. Glenn Youngkin recently appointed Makary to be his adviser on pandemic response.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>PETER MCCULLOUGH<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Dr.\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/lcaction.org\/Site%20Images\/Resources\/DrPeterMcCullough-cv.pdf\">Peter McCullough\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0academic work has been cited by other authors 63,953 times, according to Google Scholar. He is a renowned cardiologist and nephrologist, and was one of the first physicians to loudly and consistently promote the idea of early outpatient treatment for COVID-19\u2014first on Aug. 7, 2020, in an early\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/labs\/pmc\/articles\/PMC7410805\/\">paper<\/a>\u00a0on potential protocols for multidrug treatment, and then alongside Risch in front of the U.S.\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.c-span.org\/video\/?478159-1\/senate-hearing-covid-19-outpatient-treatment\">Senate<\/a>\u00a0on Nov. 19, 2020. To those who\u2019ve attacked him for his emphasis on hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin as treatment components, he emphasizes that he has also promoted FDA emergency use authorized monoclonal antibody treatments, which have been greatly underutilized.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"ArticleView__content-switch bradford text-article-body-md font-300 mxauto\">\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">In 2021, McCullough\u2019s crusade expanded from early treatment to vaccine safety. While initially many patients in his practice in Dallas were vaccinated, by March 2021, he started to have doubts about vaccine safety, as reports of injury and death began to accrue in the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/openvaers.com\/\">VAERS<\/a>\u00a0database. On May 7, 2021, McCullough was invited on<em>\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=F7cLxs8fNq8\">Tucker Carlson Today<\/a><\/em>\u00a0for a 45-minute interview in which he made his concerns known.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Specifically, McCullough emphasizes that a one-size-fits-all approach to vaccination is wrong\u2014that it should instead be recommended on the basis of specific risk-benefit calculations for different populations. \u201cThe idea that we\u2019re going to roll out new products and get it right the first time, how often does that happen in medicine?\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019ve always got to tweak things, maybe there\u2019s certain groups that shouldn\u2019t get it, maybe the doses are too high, maybe the doses should be weight-based, there\u2019s all kinds of things to consider.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">McCullough then traveled across the country, speaking in town hall formats and doctors conferences, as well as continuing to\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.americaoutloud.com\/the-mccullough-report\/\">engage<\/a>\u00a0online. By the time of an Oct. 2, 2021,\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/vnc5yk-dr.-peter-mccullough-therapeutic-nihilism-and-untested-novel-therapies-aaps.html\">speech<\/a>\u00a0summarizing his concerns, he said the current COVID vaccines \u201ccannot be generally supported in clinical practice\u201d due to safety signals. In December 2021, he was a featured guest on Joe Rogan\u2019s\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/episode\/0aZte37vtFTkYT7b0b04Qz?si=dad53a5a3e644784\">podcast<\/a>. To date, he has been fired from all of his prior academic medical positions and is\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.medscape.com\/viewarticle\/958916\">being sued<\/a>\u00a0by his former employer, Baylor University, for $1,000,000 for breach of contract.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">McCullough has become conspicuously vocal about the nefarious intentions he believes undergird the COVID vaccine program and the overall governmental response to the pandemic; not to acknowledge those views, too, would be misleading. At the same time, I spoke to McCullough last year for two hours and did not find him to be \u201cfar out.\u201d He struck me as a sensible and brilliant everyman who has been pushed to his breaking point by two years of irrationality and therapeutic nihilism.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">McCullough told Tablet that the person who has most dramatically changed his thinking of late is Robert F. He is also an internationally renowned pioneer in the field of critical care ultrasonography.\u00a0As a native New Yorker, he is evidently unafraid to speak up\u2014loudly.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">If there is one subject on which Kory has distinguished himself, it is his ferocious insistence on the importance of\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PierreKory\/status\/1468419828482514951\">letting doctors doctor<\/a>. He was one of the first to advocate for the need to administer corticosteroids in hospitalized patients, and\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/odysee.com\/@FrontlineCovid19CriticalCareAlliance:c\/Dr.-Kory-Homeland-Security-Committee-Testimony:9\">said so<\/a>\u00a0before the U.S. Senate on May 6, 2020. As the recording of his impassioned speech during a Senate hearing about the importance of early treatment and the utility of ivermectin gained viewers, YouTube\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/01\/28\/youtube-nuked-two-videos-of-a-senate-hearing-on-covid-19-treatments\/\">removed<\/a>\u00a0it on Jan. 27, 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"BlockContent col-12 lg:col-10 xl-wide:col-8 mxauto\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Kory remains an outspoken voice for aggressive outpatient and inpatient care of COVID-19 and a skeptic of the public health response. When I spoke to him last year for background on a different story, I asked what allows him to ignore the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/why-ivermectin-being-used-treat-covid-2-doctors-leading-charge-2021-9\">damage<\/a>\u00a0to his reputation caused by speaking out. He answered, characteristically, \u201cdata.\u201d He went on, \u201cWhat keeps me going is not the getting dragged, it\u2019s the success! Thousands around the world we know we\u2019ve helped, many doctors in India know that it works. After they were\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/inside-the-madness-at-evergreen-state-1506034740\">run out<\/a>\u00a0of Evergreen College in Washington state for trying to teach normally scheduled classes during an officially sanctioned \u201cday of absence,\u201d when all white people were told to leave campus, they went indie. Their DarkHorse podcast has become widely influential since its 2019 debut, but it is in the context of the pandemic that Weinstein and Heying have become essential listening for many.
