REUTERS\/Dado Ruvic\/Illustration<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">In honor of Jewish Heritage Month, the video streaming social media platform TikTok in May is highlighting a number of its Jewish users who teach the public \u201cwith storytelling and advocacy that shines a light on Jewish heritage.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u201cWe\u2019re celebrating the history and resilience of the Jewish community and its widespread impact on US culture,\u201d TikTok said in a&nbsp;<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.tiktok.com\/en-us\/celebrating-our-jewish-tiktok-creators?utm_source=COMMSTWITTER&amp;utm_medium=SOCIAL&amp;utm_campaign=20220512\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">statement<\/a>. \u201cAs we celebrate #JewishTikTok throughout the month of May and beyond, we\u2019re honoring our creators for their work uplifting and championing the Jewish community on TikTok, whether it\u2019s through singing traditional Jewish melodies or posting educational content that drives awareness around Jewish heritage.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">On their list of \u201c<strong>#<\/strong>JewishTikTok creators to watch\u201d is Israeli-American artist Dahlia Raz, who is based in Boston and often works in New York and Tel Aviv. Her works include a menorah for Hanukkah made of toy frogs and laser-cut Judaica. Another account singled out by the platform is Dr. Inna Kanevsky, a California community college professor who shares psychology knowledge with followers. Kanevsky came to the US in the early 1990s as a Jewish refugee from post-Soviet Ukraine, and also uses her content to discuss experiences with antisemitism and her faith.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Throughout the month, TikTok is urging users to employ the hashtags \u201cJewishTikTok\u201d and \u201cJewishFood,\u201d and launched a \u201c#JAHM Music Playlist\u201d to promote to Jewish artists on its&nbsp;<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/playlist-music\/%23JAHM-7092170681391090434?lang=en&amp;source=h5_m&amp;u_code=da4khlj857247b&amp;app_language=en&amp;carrier_region=US&amp;enter_method=reflow_return&amp;name=%2523JAHM&amp;previous_page=reflow_playlist&amp;share_playlist_id=7092170681391090434&amp;sec_user_id=MS4wLjABAAAAmT9DZKOvVJvzzYZhYzAs-ks0QD9f4ewnuJRGd6H_rsiEGLzmuN0AGD-2yOuNVeqz&amp;utm_source=copy&amp;checksum=21481ac39d7d9dfbdf45354078101b161349840ecad969df2ff3fdba6d90700e&amp;utm_campaign=client_share&amp;utm_medium=ios&amp;tt_from=copy&amp;user_id=6776291048786281478&amp;share_link_id=312794D5-9B26-4A31-BB93-3981CEA1EC36&amp;share_app_id=1233\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sounds Page<\/a>, which also includes live playlists featuring Jewish singer-songwriter Ben Platt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">To commemorate Holocaust Remembrance Day this year, the social media giant&nbsp;<a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.tiktok.com\/en-ie\/holocaust-remembrance-day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">partnered<\/a>&nbsp;with the World Jewish Congress and UNESCO to provide TikTok users with educational material to learn more about the Holocaust, Jewish community and antisemitism.
