Swastikas and other anti-Semitic elements have been drawn on vehicles, playgrounds and school walls in New York City. The NYPD launched an investigation, but Yaakov Hagoel, the Vice Chairman of the World Zionist Organization and Head of the Department for Activities in Israel & Countering Anti-Semitism, attempted to discover what could lead to the rise of so many anti-Semitic incidents in a major American city like New York.

“This process has been underway for the last 10 years. Each year there are more anti-Semitic incidents around the world. Each year is even more difficult than the previous one. It happens all over the world and the US, and is part of a global process,” Hagoel said.

“We’re trying to figure out why. There have been major economic problems in the world over the past decade. There are problems with immigrants who come from majority Muslim countries. And there is the combination of classic anti-Semitism which brings about hatred of Jews from the traditional Christian religious motives and which joins with the modern anti-Semitism of Muslims who express hatred of the Jews and the State of Israel.”

He said that the US has less anti-Semitism than Europe, “but the trend of increasing anti-Semitism is the same.”

He praised US President Donald Trump’s condemnation of recent anti-Semitic incidents in the US. “There is no doubt that the trend is global, but should also look on the bright side. The US government responded, President Trump spoke about the need to counter anti-Semitism. This should not be taken for granted.”

“We don’t see many world leaders putting their cards on the table and saying things clearly. In this matter there should be zero tolerance,” he added, praising US Vice President Mike Pence for personally helping to restore a Jewish cemetery near St. Louis where nearly 200 headstones were knocked down.

According to Hagoel, the act of restoring the cemetery is important in a time when Jews are afraid to appear Jewish. “One of the problems is the way again Jews respond, and the response is not good. Today, many Jews do not walk around with Jewish symbols out of fear. In many homes in Europe they have taken down the mezuzahs or moved them inside of the house, because they have such fear of just being [known to be] Jewish.”

He said that the WZO and the Israeli government must combat this trend by working to strengthen Jewish identity in the communities of the diaspora in addition to encouraging aliyah. Otherwise “the result will be assimilation.”

source: Palestinian Authority TV

Fatah Central Committee member Jamal Muhaisen called to redirect the “compass” of battle against Israel and resist American and Israeli efforts to create secondary battles in order to divert the Arab nation from its primary battle, against Israel, “which is defiling the Islamic and Christian holy places and taking control of the land.” Speaking on the official Palestinian Authority TV channel on July 23, Muhaisan said this was an historic opportunity to change the course of events in the Middle East. “Can’t anybody lead the armies for the sake of the Al-Aqsa Mosque?” he asked, adding: “One does not beg for rights. Rights are taken by force.”

Anti-Semitic feminism? Feminist event bans Star of David

Anti-Semitic feminism? Feminist event bans Star of David

David Rosenberg

A month after an LGBT march expelled three Jewish women for carrying ‘Jewish Pride’ flags bearing the Star of David – a traditional Jewish symbol – a radical feminist march has announced its own ban on all symbols it deems “Zionist”.

In June, three Jewish women were removed from the 21st annual Chicago Dyke March, after they waved flags organizers deemed to be excessively “Zionist”. The flags in question were not the flag of the State of Israel, but rather included the rainbow flag design, an LGBT symbol, with the Star of David in the center.

A member of the Dyke March collective told the Windy City Times that the Jewish symbols “made people feel unsafe,” and clashed with the “anti-Zionist, pro-Palestinian” character of the event.

In a Facebook post, one of the marchers denied that the symbol was in anyway “Zionist”, and was simply an expression of Jewish identity.
“The flags that ‘triggered’ people were NOT a flag of the modern state of Israel, they are PRIDE flags adorned with the star of David. The star of David is, first and foremost, a Jewish symbol, long before the modern state of Israel was even a thought. It’s been a symbol of the Jewish people for centuries, and those marching put it on their flags to represent their intersectionality as LGTBQ+ JEWS. They were not using the dyke march to show support of Israel. They were not making a political statement regarding it. They were simply displaying who they are and that their religious faith is part of their identity. Removing those flags, and the people who marched with it, shows a deep level of ignorance, and yes, it also shows anti-Semitism masquerading as liberal values,” the post said.

Earlier this month, the organizers of the Dyke March again sparked controversy after they used an anti-Semitic slur popular with neo-Nazi groups.

“Zio tears replenish my electrolytes!” the group wrote via Twitter. The term “Zio” was popularized by ex-KKK leader David Duke and other white supremacists to disparage American Jews.

Now, a radical feminist group has adopted the Chicago Dyke March’s ban, announcing it will not tolerate symbols it deems to be “Zionist”.

Organizers of the Chicago SlutWalk declared their support for the Dyke March’s targeting of Jewish symbols under the guise of anti-Zionism, saying that such symbols will not be permitted at the August 12th event, the Algemeiner reported.

“We still stand behind Dyke March Chicago’s decision to remove the Zionist contingent from their event, & we won’t allow Zionist displays at ours,” organizers tweeted.

In recent years, radical feminists have promoted so-called “slut walk” events to combat what they describe as the “rape culture” of the West. Participants in “slut walks” typically march in their underwear, holding placards or writing messages on their exposed skin denouncing “rape culture”.

Slutwalk organizers on Twitter fired back at critics who chastised the Dyke March’s behavior, claiming the three Jewish women had “made their Zionist beliefs known”, and were thus legitimately removed.

“They were kicked out after a discussion where they made their Zionist beliefs known and refused to back down.”

Organizers appeared to suggest that the ban on Zionist symbols would, like the Dyke March’s ban, not simple cover official Israeli flags, but the Star of David in general

The star, they wrote, was banned “because its connections to the oppression enacted by Israel is too strong for it to be neutrali & IN CONTEXT it was used as a Zionist symbol.”

Stop Ignoring Iran and Hezbollah Terror

Stop Ignoring Iran and Hezbollah Terror, US Ambassador to UN Nikki Haley Tells Security Council

Ben Cohen

US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley expressed frustration on Tuesday with the UN Security Council’s attitude toward Iran and its terrorist proxies in the Middle East.

“Truth be told, the Security Council often makes the Middle East more complicated than it actually is,” Haley said at the Security Council’s monthly meeting on the region. “It obsesses over Israel. And it refuses to acknowledge one of the chief sources of conflict and killing in the Middle East — that is, Iran and its partner militia, Lebanese Hezbollah.”

Haley began her remarks by affirming that the US “shares everyone’s concern about the heightened tensions in Jerusalem.”

“All parties should work to reduce these tensions, and we offer whatever assistance we can in helping to do this,” she stated. But, she added, “I am going to refrain from further comment on this sensitive issue in the hope that wisdom will prevail over emotions.”

Turning the Security Council’s attention to Iran and Hezbollah, Haley asserted that “together with its Iranian patron, Hezbollah seeks to cause destruction throughout the Middle East.”

“Some see ‘two wings’ to Hezbollah — a terrorist wing, and a political and social wing,” she told the Security Council. “This is a convenient excuse for Hezbollah, but it is dangerous fiction.”

Haley excoriated the Security Council for its timidity in confronting Hezbollah’s multiple violations of its resolutions on Lebanon — including the core demand that Hezbollah disarm, as the Lebanese Army is regarded as the only legitimate military force in the country.

“For too long, the Security Council has chosen to pretend that the status quo is acceptable for the people of Lebanon,” she said. “It is not. Hezbollah’s illegal weapons build-up is putting the people of Lebanon in great danger.”

Haley continued: “Remarkably, this council cannot even bring itself to use the word ‘Hezbollah’ in recent resolutions or statements on Lebanon. Many here are happy to name Israel, time after time, but Hezbollah is somehow off limits. It’s absurd. Worse than that, it’s dangerous.”

“We must begin to get serious about enforcing our own resolutions that have been routinely violated by Iran and Hezbollah,” Haley concluded.
