JERUSALEM, ISRAEL, 14 JULY 2017. On 14 July, at 07.00 a.m. 3 terrorists had opened fire on a group of Border Police
officers at the Lions Gate in the Old city of Jerusalem
The attack had started when 3 Israeli Muslim Arab terrorists came running from the site of the Temple Mountain
and opened fire with two Carlo machine guns and a pistol on a group of police officers. 2 police officers were killed and a third is medium/light wounded
Police responded and a gun fight commenced during which 2 terrorists were neutralized. One of the terrorists, who was wounded, pretended to be neutralized. When a police sapper had approached in order to control him
The police had reacted immediately and killed him on the spot.
Third terrorist ran into the site of the Temple Mount and was killed by security forces who’d pursuit him
The two killed police officers are sergeant major Hail Stawi, 30, from Maghar
And Camil Kamil Shanan, 22, from Hurfeish, both in northern Israel.
Both Druz. Hail Stawi was a father of a one month old baby
The 3 terrorists were identified by the security forces as Muhammad Jabarien (29 j.o.) , Chamad Jabarien (19) and Achmed Jabarien (19) All three belong to one family from Um El Phachem
