New York City Mayor, Police Commissioner Detail Increased Security Measures for Israel Day Parade

New York City Mayor Eric Adams and Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch held a briefing on Friday morning to detail their “comprehensive security plan” to ensure the safety of New Yorkers at the Israel Day Parade on Sunday.

The theme of this year’s parade is “Hatikvah,” which means “the hope” and is also the title of Israel’s national anthem. Several former hostages — abducted during the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas-led terrorist attack in Israel — will march in the parade on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, including Andrey Kozlov, Ilana Gritzewsky, Aviva and Keith Siegel, Eliya Cohen, and Doron Steinbrecher. The hostages are marching to raise awareness for the 58 people still held captive by Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The logo of this year’s parade is a multicolored tree that has a yellow ribbon on its trunk, in solidarity with the hostages.

Almost daily, there have been anti-Israel protests in New York City, including on college campuses, and the city is facing an unprecedented uptick in antisemitism, according to the New York City Police Department (NYPD).

“We will not tolerate any attempts to disrupt this event or engage those who come to celebrate,” Trish started the security briefing on Friday morning by saying. She then detailed measures that will be taken by the NYPD at the parade on Sunday, which include requiring spectators to enter the viewing area through designated screening entry points. No backpacks, chairs, large bags, and other items will be allowed.

Tisch added that, while currently the NYPD is not aware of any specific or credible threats related to the parade, nevertheless there will be a “robust and visible police presence” at the event, including uniformed police officers as well as bomb squads and both counterterrorism and surveillance teams. NYPD helicopters and drones will also be in the area and intelligence teams will be moderating social media for potential threats.

“The NYPD will be out there to make sure Sunday is safe, joyful, and everything that it’s meant to be,” Tisch concluded.

“We want to ensure we have a safe acknowledgement of Israel’s Independence Day on Sunday,” Adams added. “We look forward to the flags and beauty of this celebration.”

Adams announced earlier this week the establishment of the Mayor’s Office to Combat Antisemitism, the first office of its kind to open in a major city in the US. The new mayoral office will aim to tackle “all forms of antisemitism.”

“There is no place for antisemitism and hate in the state of New York. Plain and simple,” Adams said at Friday’s security briefing. “Those who spread hate want to divide us, but we must remain united. A hateful few will not dictate how the rest of us live.”

Adams is scheduled to march in the parade on Sunday. New York State Gov. Kathy Hochul and Attorney General Letitia James are also scheduled to attend. The parade is organized by the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York with support from the UJA-Federation of New York.

Gdy pod koniec kwietnia w centralnym Izraelu szalały pożary, wielu Palestyńczyków świętowało, bezczelnie domagając się większej liczby pożarów i wzywając do obrócenia izraelskich domów w “popioły”.

Wszystko to wydarzyło się w dniu, w którym Izraelczycy czcili pamięć poległych żołnierzy i ofiar terroryzmu oraz przygotowywali się do obchodów Dnia Niepodległości.

“Prosimy Boga, aby chronił nasz lud i naszą ziemię. Niech te pożary zdezorientują [izraelskich] okupantów i ich osadników” – napisała palestyńska użytkowniczka mediów społecznościowych Hana Barghouti.

“W imię Allaha” – napisała inna użytkowniczka, Umm Ibrahim, która zamieściła zdjęcia pożarów: “Mściciel, Wszechmogący”.

Władze Izraela poinformowały, że aresztowano kilku Palestyńczyków pod zarzutem wzniecania pożarów lasów. To celowe “ekobójstwo” przeciwko przyrodzie na ziemi, o którą rzekomo walczą, pokazuje, że Palestyńczycy nigdy tak naprawdę nie dbali o tę ziemię; po prostu chcą ją przejąć i zabić jak najwięcej Żydów. Czy “zielone” grupy potępią Palestyńczyków za tę zbrodnię przeciwko naturze? Nie czekajcie z zapartym tchem.

Wspierana przez Iran palestyńska organizacja terrorystyczna Hamas pochwaliła pożary, nazywając je “żołnierzami Boga” i wzywała Palestyńczyków do wzniecania kolejnych pożarów w Izraelu, pisząc na portalu społecznościowym Telegram:

“Spalcie wszystko, co możecie, gaje, lasy i domy osadników. [Palestyńska] młodzież z Zachodniego Brzegu, młodzież z Jerozolimy i ci w Izraelu, podpalajcie ich samochody”.

Palestyńska grupa Sieć Wiadomości Dżenin wezwała Palestyńczyków do “palenia gajów w pobliżu osiedli”. Grupa opublikowała zdjęcie zamaskowanego mężczyzny podpalającego pole, podczas gdy w tle płonęło drewno. “Domy osadników – głosił tekst – zostaną zamienione w popiół pod stopami rewolucjonistów”.

Inna palestyńska grupa medialna opublikowała następujący wpis:

“Bohaterowie Zachodniego Brzegu i Jerozolimy, dziś jest wasz dzień. Skorzystajcie z tych pożarów i sprawcie, by rozprzestrzeniły się dalej. Benzyna i iskra wystarczą, by zamienić [izraelski] twór w piekło. Jego osady i lasy są waszym celem. Ludzie Boga, mówcie ‘Allahu Akbar!’ (Bóg jest większy), we wszystkich częściach kraju”.

Wielu Palestyńczyków określa Żydów mieszkających w Izraelu mianem “osadników”. Nie rozróżniają Żyda mieszkającego w Izraelu od Żyda mieszkającego w osiedlu na Zachodnim Brzegu [Judei i Samarii]. Dla tych Palestyńczyków Izrael jest jedną wielką osadą, której mieszkańców należy eksterminować.

Palestyński influencer mediów społecznościowych Chaled Safi napisał do swoich 322 tysięcy obserwujących na X:

“Pożary strawiły 19 tysięcy dunamów ziemi w pobliżu Jerozolimy, co wzmocniło moje przekonanie, że upadek tworu [izraelskiego] jest o wiele łatwiejszy, niż myślimy”.

W innym poście na X Safi zamieścił zdjęcie Izraelczyków uciekających przed pożarem lasu:

“Dla waszego bezpieczeństwa zalecamy udanie się na zachód do Hajfy, następnie do portu, a następnie do waszych krajów ojczystych!”

Palestyński aktywista praw człowieka Bassem Eid oskarżył Palestyńczyków o celowe podpalanie:

“Podczas gdy Izrael walczy z dużymi pożarami w całym kraju, z których część została wywołana celowo, palestyńscy terroryści publikują posty w mediach społecznościowych, świętując i wzywając ludzi do podpalania izraelskich miast, lasów i pojazdów. Pożary te narażają zarówno Izraelczyków, jak i Palestyńczyków na ryzyko i powodują poważne szkody na ziemi, o którą ci terroryści twierdzą, że walczą. Ci ludzie nie są zwolennikami Palestyńczyków; są zwolennikami terroryzmu przeciwko Żydom”.

To ci sami Palestyńczycy, którzy wcześniej w tym roku świętowali i cieszyli się, gdy szalały pożary w Los Angeles. Jeśli chodzi o wielu Palestyńczyków, USA są również ich wrogiem ze względu na ich wieloletnie poparcie dla Izraela.

Za każdym razem, gdy Izrael spotyka katastrofa lub Żyd zostaje zamordowany w ataku terrorystycznym, Palestyńczycy mają zwyczaj świętowania.

W kwietniu 2024 r., gdy Iran wystrzelił 180 pocisków balistycznych w kierunku Izraela, Palestyńczycy wylegli na ulice, aby świętować. Mimo że część pocisków spadła na palestyńskie tereny na Zachodnim Brzegu, świętowanie nawet nie przygasło.

Najhuczniejsze obchody odbyły się 7 października 2023 r., kiedy to około 6000 terrorystów Hamasu i “zwykłych” Palestyńczyków pod osłoną 5 tysięcy rakiet i pocisków wystrzelonych w kierunku Izraela, dokonało inwazji na Izrael ze Strefy Gazy i zamordowało ponad 1200 Izraelczyków. Tysiące Palestyńczyków wyszło na ulice Strefy Gazy, aby świętować masakrę i pluć na porwanych izraelskich mężczyzn i kobiety, gdy ciągnięto ich do niewoli w tunelach Gazy.

Kiedy w ciągu ostatnich trzech dekad palestyńscy terroryści dokonywali w Izraelu zamachów samobójczych i ataków nożowniczych, zawsze miały miejsce podobne uroczystości.

Zachwyt Palestyńczyków z powodu niedawnych pożarów lasów w Izraelu jest kolejnym dowodem ich głębokiej nienawiści do Izraela i Żydów.

Za tę nienawiść bezpośrednio odpowiedzialne są dziesięciolecia antyizraelskiej propagandy palestyńskich przywódców i mediów. Dlatego też wszelkie rozmowy o procesie pokojowym z Palestyńczykami stały się niestety niczym innym, jak ponurym dowcipem.

Palestyńczycy są o wiele bardziej zainteresowani mordowaniem Żydów i podpalaniem Izraela niż “współistnieniem”. Nie chcą, aby Izrael “współistniał” nawet na milimetrze ich własnej historycznej ojczyzny.

Świat musi zdać sobie sprawę, że Palestyńczycy wychowali całe pokolenie, które czci zagładę i śmierć Żydów – a nawet własną śmierć – o wiele bardziej niż lepsze i dostatnie życie.

IAF conducts major strikes on Houthi terror sites in Yemen

The Israel Defense Forces launched a large-scale aerial operation on Friday night targeting terrorist infrastructure belonging to the Iranian-backed Houthi regime at the Hudaydah and Salif ports in Yemen.

Fifteen Israeli Air Force fighter jets carried out the attack, dropping more than 30 munitions in the eighth IDF attack on Houthi targets since the terrorist group joined the war in support of Hamas and Hezbollah following the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre.

According to the IDF, the targeted ports serve as hubs for weapons transfers and exemplify “the Houthi terrorist regime’s systematic and cynical exploitation of civilian infrastructure to advance terrorist activities.”

The strikes were preceded by warnings urging civilians in the area to evacuate, in an effort to minimize harm to noncombatants, the military said.

“Over the past year and a half, the Houthi terrorist regime has been operating under Iranian direction and funding in order to harm the State of Israel and its allies, undermining regional stability and disrupting global freedom of navigation,” the IDF said in a statement.

“Any hostile activity in these ports will continue to be prevented,” the military added.

Defense Minister Israel Katz warned: “If the Houthis continue to fire missiles at the State of Israel, they will suffer painful blows—and the heads of the terrorist group will also be hit.

“We will defend ourselves with strength against any enemy,” he said.

On Thursday evening, air-raid sirens were activated across Israel’s central region, including in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, warning of an incoming Houthi ballistic missile.

“Following alerts that were activated a short time ago in several areas of the country, one missile launched from Yemen was intercepted,” the military stated.

Early on Saturday morning, the IDF intercepted a drone launched “from the east”—a term used by the military to refer to Yemen. Sirens were activated in accordance with protocol. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

Since Tuesday night, the Jewish state’s air defenses have intercepted five projectiles fired at the country by the Houthis.

Last week, the IDF carried out a series of strikes on Sanaa International Airport in Yemen. Dozens of Air Force fighter jets made the more-than-1,000-mile journey and dropped 50 bombs over the course of about 15 minutes, disabling the main airport controlled by Houthi terrorists.

Israeli Air Force fighter jets also attacked major power stations in the Houthi capital, as well as a cement factory located north of Sanaa, which was used for building tunnels and terrorist infrastructure.

Those strikes come two days after the Houthis fired a ballistic missile at Ben-Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv, wounding six civilians and disrupting air traffic.

Police Officers Injured as Violent Clashes Erupt at Anti-Israel Nakba Day Rally in Berlin

Anti-Israel demonstrators clashed violently with Berlin police officers during a march on Thursday, resulting in injuries and heightened tensions throughout the German capital city.

More than 600 police officers were dispatched to contain the “Nakba Day” protest in Berlin’s central Kreuzberg district, where over 50 arrests were made. The demonstrators were recognizing the 77th anniversary of the “nakba,” the Arabic term for “catastrophe” used by Palestinians and anti-Israel activists to refer to the establishment of the modern state of Israel in 1948.

According to local law enforcement, approximately 1,100 people took part in the pro-Hamas rally, which also protested against Israel’s military campaign against the Palestinian terrorist group in the Gaza Strip.

Demonstrators initially intended to march from Südstern Square in the southern part of the capital to the adjacent Neukölln district, but local authorities only allowed the protest to remain stationary.

Even though a local court had ruled that the anti-Israel protest couldn’t move through the city, demonstrators repeatedly attempted to march through the neighborhood. When police intervened to stop them, they were met with insults and violent attacks from the crowd.

During the protest, one of the organizers addressed the crowd, declaring, “The nakba is a continuing campaign of ethnic cleansing that has never stopped.”

The demonstration was also marked by antisemitic rhetoric and inflammatory chants, including accusations that the Israeli government and military are “child murderers, women murderers, baby murderers,” as well as the use of the banned slogan, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” The slogan is popular among anti-Israel activists and has been widely interpreted as a call for the destruction of the Jewish state, which is located between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea.

When police intervened to stop the inflammatory rhetoric, they were met with significant violence from the crowd, who reportedly threw bottles, stones, and other objects, and sprayed officers with red paint.

After the incidents, police reported that one officer was pulled into the crowd, forced to the ground, and trampled until he lost consciousness. The 36-year-old officer sustained severe upper body injuries, including a broken arm, and remains hospitalized.

“The attack on a police officer at the demonstration in Kreuzberg is nothing but a cowardly, brutal act of violence,” Berlin Mayor Kai Wegner said in a statement. “Attacks against officers are attacks on law and order and therefore against all of us.”

“Those who misuse the right to demonstrate to spread hate, antisemitic incitement, or violence will face the full force of the law,” the German leader added.

Local authorities reported that 11 officers and an unspecified number of protesters were injured during the incidents, with the injured demonstrators receiving treatment from the Berlin fire department.

The German-Israeli Society (DIG) condemned the violence and hateful rhetoric, urging authorities to reconsider granting permission for such demonstrations.

“Often, these events are not demonstrations for the rights and the legitimate concerns of Palestinians but merely express outright hatred of Israel,” the group said in a statement.

Germany has experienced a sharp spike in antisemitism amid the war in Gaza. In just the first six months of 2024 alone, the number of antisemitic incidents in Berlin surpassed the total for all of the prior year and reached the highest annual count on record, according to Germany’s Federal Association of Departments for Research and Information on Antisemitism (RIAS).

The figures compiled by RIAS were the highest count for a single year since the federally-funded body began monitoring antisemitic incidents in 2015, showing the German capital averaged nearly eight anti-Jewish outrages a day from January to June last year.

According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), police registered 5,154 antisemitic incidents in Germany in 2023, a 95 percent increase compared to the previous year.
