Tak zwana „islamofobia” to nie jest to samo, co antysemityzm w 1939 roku

Kilku publicystów i komentatorów na stronie RacjonalistaTV stworzyło analogię pomiędzy współczesną krytyką islamu w Europie, a nienawiścią do Żydów w roku 1939, która, jak wiemy, doprowadziła do tragedii Holocaustu. Uważam, że nie jest to porównanie uzasadnione.

1. Żydzi w 1939 roku nie mieli żadnego państwa, nie mieli dokąd uciec. Powierzchnia państw muzułmańskich wielokrotnie przekracza powierzchnię Europy, do której najczęściej muzułmanie wyjeżdżają.

2. Zdarzało się, że judaiści prześladowali judaistów z uwagi na religię. Ale są to marginalne kwestie wobec prześladowania Żydów przez przedstawicieli innych religii. Głównymi prześladowcami muzułmanów są inni muzułmanie, co oznacza, że czasem mamy w jednej osobie i ofiarę prześladowań i prześladowcę. Zapewne są osoby, które uciekają z Syrii przed Asaadem, wcześniej zaś pomagały w mordach organizowanych przez Państwo Islamskie.

3. Żydzi, ilekroć mogli, walczyli o swoje państwo. Miało to miejsce w czasach antycznych i w czasach współczesnych. W przypadku uchodźców muzułmańskich mamy często do czynienia z samotnymi mężczyznami w sile wieku, którzy nie chcą walczyć o swoje państwo. Aby tam, gdzie mieszkają, zapanował pokój, często muszą walczyć inni – francuscy, rosyjscy i amerykańscy lotnicy etc.

4. Obawy przed muzułmanami mają charakter obaw przed radykalną religią, która w większości miejsc na świecie jest istotnym źródłem przemocy. W wielu państwach muzułmańskich skazuje się na śmierć za ateizm, wiele państw muzułmańskich wspiera terroryzm o charakterze religijnym, wiele społeczeństw muzułmańskich prześladuje swoje mniejszości religijne. Nienawiść do Żydów w 1939 roku miała charakter etniczny. Żyd mógł być ateistą lub chrześcijaninem, a i tak ginął z rąk nazistów. Ci Europejczycy, którzy obawiają się nowych muzułmanów w Europie nie mają żadnych oporów przed przyjmowaniem arabskich chrześcijan, gdyż wiedzą, że częsta niestety skłonność do przemocy u Arabów ma podłoże religijne a nie etniczne.

5. Wielu Żydów zintegrowało się z kulturą europejską i stali się w niej najwybitniejszymi artystami, naukowcami, politykami i przedsiębiorcami. Niewielu muzułmanów pełni znaczącą dla kultury Europy rolę. Mimo, że jest już niekiedy czwarte pokolenie muzułmanów w Europie, nie ma wielu muzułmańskich Einsteinów, Tuwimów, Disraellich, Rubinsteinów, Mahlerów i Mendelssohnów.

6. Do czasów powojennych system opieki socjalnej w Europie był słaby, w wielu miejscach wcale nie istniał. Żydzi dochodzili do wszystkiego sami, wbrew przeszkodom płynącym ze strony rasistów. W Europie XXI wieku osoba nie chcąca nic robić może przeważnie żyć na koszt państwa. Procent muzułmanów utrzymujących się z pomocy socjalnej jest wyższy, niż procent rdzennych mieszkańców Europy utrzymujących się z pomocy socjalnej.

7. Muzułmanów jest na świecie więcej niż Europejczyków. Żydzi w stosunku do ilości Europejczyków stanowili i stanowią niewielką mniejszość.

8. Żydzi mieszkając w Europie nie dążyli do narzucenia swoich praw i obyczajów nieżydowskim Europejczykom. Co najmniej 30% europejskich muzułmanów chce szariatu, co oznacza narzucenie innym ich obyczajów religijnych.

9. Żydzi nie byli zacofani w stosunku do reszty Europejczyków, muzułmanie często są zacofani.

10. Żydzi często przechodzili na chrześcijaństwo lub zostawali ateistami. Muzułmanom za apostazję grozi śmierć, co w wielu państwach muzułmańskich jest wykonywane w majestacie prawa. W XXI wieku w Europie dużo trudniej porzucić muzułmaninowi islam niż w 1920 roku Żydowi judaizm.

11. Żydzi nie wysyłali listów gończych za osobami kpiącymi z ich religii. Osoby wyśmiewające ich religię były zupełnie bezpieczne. Nikt, kto wyśmiewa się z islamu publicznie i jest w miarę znany nie może czuć się w Europie bezpieczny, a wielu zostało zamordowanych.

12. Europejki nie miały żadnych problemów z uwagi na żydowskie oczekiwania wobec kobiecego stroju.

13. Obecnie Europejczycy nie uważają, że muzułmanie nie mają prawa do swoich państw. Do dziś są Europejczycy i zwłaszcza muzułmanie uważający, iż Żydzi nie mają prawa do żadnego państwa.

14. W Izraelu można budować świątynie wszystkich religii, każdy, niezależnie od wyznania lub braku wyznania może zwiedzać Jerozolimę. Niemuzułmanie nie mają żadnego wstępu do Mekki, w niektórych państwach muzułmańskich nie można stawiać żadnych świątyń, które nie są meczetami, nie można nawet posiadać w swoim prywatnym dobytku ksiąg religijnych nie będących muzułmańskimi.

Wydaje mi się, że jakiekolwiek porównania pomiędzy sytuacją Żydów 1939 roku, a sytuacją muzułmanów w roku 2016 są nie na miejscu. Obawa przed imigracją ludzi, którzy mają swoje miejsce na Ziemi nie jest tym samym, co przeganianie Żydów z kąta w kąt, kiedy ci nie posiadali żadnego swojego państwa. W 1939 roku nie było jeszcze pewne, że w ogóle powstanie państwo Izrael. Gdy już powstało, Żydzi musieli walczyć o przetrwanie z arabskimi sąsiadami. Wygrali cudem, pomimo horroru Holocaustu Europejczycy wsparli bardziej arabskich najeźdźców niż broniących się Żydów. Nadal wpływowe siły polityczne i intelektualne w Europie w większości występują przeciwko Izraelowi na rzecz roszczeń muzułmańskich. Antysyjonizm jest modny, krytyka islamu jest źle widziana.

Na koniec chciałbym podkreślić, że oczywiście każda forma dyskryminacji jest zła. Nie uważam jednak za rasizm nie przyjmowania do swojego kraju osób z innych państw jako nowych obywateli. Uchodźcom należy pomagać, ale nie oznacza to nadawania obywatelstwa i zapewniania stałego pobytu.

Europejczyk w wielu państwach muzułmańskich nie ma żadnych szans na obywatelstwo, na kultywowanie innej niż islam religii, lub na bycie otwartym ateistą. Zdaniem większości muzułmanów Europejczyk nie ma prawa związać się z muzułmanką jeśli nie przejdzie na islam. Europejczyk chcący czegoś więcej niż turystyki będzie mniej lub bardziej prześladowanym „innym” w większości państw muzułmańskich. W świecie muzułmańskim antysemityzm jest powszechny, zatem Żyd w wielu państwach muzułmańskich nie może być nawet turystą

Haunting smile of girl facing the Holocaust: How Hitler’s PERSONAL photographer captured for history the plight of the Jews in Nazi-occupied Poland

• But in this set he depicts the tragic circumstances of Jews while allowing them to retain their humanity and dignity
• Taken in the Polish town of Kutno in 1939 and 1940 they have been released to mark the official establishment of the Warsaw Ghetto

She has such natural beauty, she could pass for a movie star.
She smiles, her demeanour relaxed. In normal times, this young woman would surely have enjoyed a bright and happy future, perhaps with a husband, children, grandchildren.
But soon after this photograph was taken, she would face almost certain death. The haunting image is one of a series depicting Jews in Nazi-occupied Poland before they were rounded up to be sent to the gas chambers.

The clue is the curled-up piece of yellow cloth the unknown woman wears on her lapel – a makeshift Star of David.
All around her, and in other photos taken in the ghetto into which the Nazis corralled their prisoners, every man, woman and child was forced to wear one.
In peacetime, the six-pointed star was a proud symbol of Judaism. In the Holocaust which Hitler was about to unleash – here in the devastated town of Kutno – it would become their death-star.

The remarkable colour images were taken by the Führer’s personal photographer, a loyal follower given unprecedented access to the Third Reich’s elite. Hugo Jaeger was allowed to travel with Hitler to record his appearances at rallies, intimate parties and in private moments. More usually he dedicated himself to lionising his leader and what the Nazis regarded as their most triumphant moments.

Here, it appears, he seems simply to have been fascinated by faces from a different faith in a country under siege. He is said not to have shared Hitler’s unqualified hatred of Jews. Hence, whether he intended it or not, Jaeger’s camera captured an atmosphere rarely seen before horror and carnage overtook it.

No Holds Barred: Islamic State finally comes after the Jews

IS is a group of creatures who through their brutality have erased the image of God from their countenance and no longer resemble anything human.

The Kurds have essentially been the only group doing anything to battle Islamic State on the ground and save Yazidi men, women and children from enslavement and death.

For the past few years, the West thought they could ignore this “contained” holocaust that’s been raging in Syria and Iraq.

In recent months, Islamic State (IS) blew up a Russian passenger jet, France saw the slaughter of its citizens in the streets of Paris, and the US experienced a massacre of 14 people in sunny California. These acts add to the growing list of IS-inspired attacks and attempted attacks that have caused the Western world to open its eyes to the evil proliferating across the globe.

And now, finally a number of willing nations have stepped up the war against IS, with not the US but Russia leading the way, and the IS is suddenly finding itself on the ropes, with territory being lost and fighters losing courage.

Something I have found so surprising throughout all these events is how IS and its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi have hardly made even the smallest mention of Israel or the Jews. I was waiting for that inevitable day when IS would declare its intentions to destroy Israel and commit genocide against the Jewish people.

It’s kind of a coming of age, a rite of passage for a terrorist group when the day comes that they announce their intentions to wipe out the Israelites. But the weeks and months passed and we heard not a peep.

I was not alone in noticing this. For the past few years a favorite rumor among conspiracy theorists and haters of Israel alike has been that IS is actually a Mossad organization, and Baghdadi is in reality a Jew.

Why else have they not done anything to harm the Jews? After all, no one can deny that, barring immediate existential threats, the Jews pretty much always receive the top honors on the genocide wish lists of terrorist organizations.

And now suddenly this last Saturday, after IS had finally taken a real beating from Western forces and air strikes, Baghdadi released a message to his demoralized fighters in which he declares, “We are getting closer to you [Israel] day by day. Do not think that we have forgotten about you.”

Baghdadi continues, “God caused the Jews of the world to gather in Israel, and the war against them has become easy. It is the obligation of every Muslim to carry out Jihad.” He added, “Jews, you will not enjoy Palestine. God has gathered you in Palestine so that the Mujahedeen can reach you soon and you will hide by the rock and the tree.

Palestine will be your graveyard.”

Baghdadi’s threats could have been a little more original, seeing as how Hezbollah’s head Hassan Nasrallah has also previously claimed that the Jews were gathered to Israel to make it easier to kill them all, and Hamas and the Palestinian Authority have referenced the same Hadith about the rocks and trees calling for Muslims to kill the Jews at the end of days.

Nonetheless, Baghdadi finally made the “kill the Jews” proclamation, and the timing is somewhat understandable. History has shown us that whenever the going gets tough for nations, blaming the Jews and promising to wipe them out has been an extremely effective technique for distracting the general population from its woes while uniting them behind a common cause. In 167 BCE, the Hellenized Syrians led by Antiochus Epiphanes realized their bloody campaign to conquer Egypt had failed. The Jews in Israel under Antiochus’ dominion were a perfect scapegoat to vent their frustrations on, and the persecutions began.

This put in motion the events that led to the rise of the Maccabees who soundly defeated the Syrians and declared independence for Judea.

Similarly the Nazis made good use of this technique in the wake of WWI. Hitler blamed the Jews for Germany’s defeat and claimed an international Jewish conspiracy was responsible for the suffering of the German people. This set the foundation for the rise of the Nazis, WWII and the Holocaust.

This scapegoating of the Jewish people by struggling leaders and nations has repeated itself over and over again in history. So now that Baghdadi has referenced the Jews, it’s likely that things must be getting tough for IS. Once you play the Jew card, you’re desperate for a scapegoat. And it seems to work every time. In fact, a recent article written by German reporter Jurgen Todenhofer who visited IS for 10 days claims that IS fears the Israeli army more than any other.

“They told me they know the Israeli army is too strong for them,” Todenhofer said.

“They think they can defeat US and UK ground troops, who they say they have no experience in city guerrilla or terrorist strategies.

But they know the Israelis are very tough as far as fighting against guerrillas and terrorists.”

Regardless of IS’s fear of starting a war with Israel, hatred of the Jews has been Baghdadi’s ace in the hole all along. He knows it is the one thing that all Islamic terrorist organizations the world over can agree upon and rally behind (not to mention all neo-Nazi and racial supremacist groups as well). The blood of an infidel may be nice, but the blood of a Jew, now that really gets terrorists excited. The IS leader must be getting desperate if he’s finally resorting to this time-honored technique.

TOO BAD for Baghdadi that he’s failed to learn from history. Sure, the outspoken hatred of the Jews can often times get someone into a position of power – as the Talmud itself teaches: “Whoever harasses the Jews will find followers who make him a leader.” But Baghdadi, and all the other haters of Israel, have failed to realize that every single one of those nations who persecuted and attempted genocide against the Jews, in the end faced calamity and destruction and are lost to the dustbin of history. And the Jews throughout it all have always managed to survive with each adversary they overcome, albeit with sacrifices far too numerous to justify the victorious outcome.

It has often been said that IS is a group of people who want to take the world back to the dark ages. I disagree. IS is a group of creatures who through their brutality have erased the image of God from their countenance and no longer resemble anything human. And the West needs to understand that an international ground troops coalition against them is a non-negotiable necessity before this disgusting cancer metastasizes and more innocent people die in the most gruesome way.
