Italian university official calls for ‘complete annihilation’ of Zionists

ROME – A Facebook post by an administrator at an Islamic university in Italy calling for the “final solution” and “complete extermination” of Zionists was taken down after the Italian Jewish community and the Israeli Embassy in Rome protested to authorities.

The post was published in early August by Raffello Villani, the administrative secretary of the Islamic University Foundation of Lecce, in southern Italy.

Villani wrote on his Facebook page: “[A]nother final solution… but this time done well… that’s what should happen. but for the zionists…. just for them. complete extermination. The real Jews are the victims.”

The post was flagged on Aug. 4 by Osservatorio Antisemitismo, an anti-Semitism monitor supported by the Union of Italian Jewish Communities, or UCEI.

On Sunday, the UCEI said in a statement that the post was taken down “immediately” after the UCEI and the Israeli Embassy in Rome made a joint protest to authorities. The protest was not made public at the time.

The Osservatorio had noted that “anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist posts appear often” on Villani’s Facebook page, which is public.

After the offending post was taken down, Villani posted a defense of his opinions.

“Once again I have to give a lesson in Italian […] Anti-zionist does not mean being anti-Semitic,” he wrote. “They are 2 completely different things. Now to those who insist on confusing them, I say grab a dictionary and read it. Maybe they would understand more. Thus, to you who choose to not understand I say: I defend the Jews who suffer the persecutions of stupid racists and their Zionist fellow countrymen. I will never defend, in fact I will fight against, the zionists who impinge on the freedom of the peoples of the world including their [fellow] Jews.”

The Islamic University in Italy, on the tip of the country’s heel, is a small, newly established institution founded mainly by Italian converts to Islam. News of its development prompted controversy last year in Lecce. It is not clear whether it is fully functioning now.

Investigators in Germany completed preliminary investigations into thousands of suspected former Nazi concentration camp guards and are to bring charges against eight people.

German Nazi hunter Jens RommelGerman Nazi hunter Jens RommelThe Central Office for the Investigation of National Socialist Crimes found that four men and four women born between 1918 and 1927 who worked in the concentration camp Stutthof, near Gdansk, were still alive in Germany, according to the head of the agency, Jens Rommel.

While the men worked as security guards, the women were employed in jobs such as typists and telephone operators at the camp, Rommel said.

Furthermore, the Nazi hunters are looking at more possible suspects from the camps in Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen, Majdanek and Neuengamme. All suspects could be charged with being an accessory to the murder of thousands of people, most of them Jews, during World War II.

Rommel expressed his hope for a quick ruling by the Federal Court in the appeal brought by former SS officer Oskar Gröning, the ‘Bookkeeper of Auschwitz’ who was convicted by a Lüneburg court last year.

“We hope that the High Court will clarify the legal situation,” Rommel said. The now 95-year-old Gröning was sentenced to four years in prison for being an accessory to murder in at least 300,000 cases at Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Lauder: ‘It’s critical that those who took part in genocide are put on trial, irrespective of age’

Ronald S. Lauder, president of the World Jewish Congress, welcomed Rommel’s statement. He said: “Germany’s commitment to identifying more former Nazi camp guards is encouraging. The World Jewish Congress welcomes the fact that Special Prosecutor Jens Rommel are continuing to bring to trial those who are suspected of having aided and abetted the murder of thousands of Jews in Nazi camps during World War II. He and his staff deserve praise and support for their efforts.

“Given the vast system of concentration and extermination camps put in place by the Nazis, and the number of personnel needed to run and guard these sites, it comes as no surprise that a few of these perpetrators are still alive, even today.

“It is critical that all those who took part in the genocide of Jews and crimes against humanity are put on trial, irrespective of their age.

“As Jews, we rightly expect that no stone be left unturned when it comes to dealing with Nazi crimes, and that anyone suspected of involvement in mass murder, who is still alive, be prosecuted.

“For decades, Germany did very little to bring Nazi war criminals to justice, but as long as it is still possible it must be done,” said Lauder.

In June 2016, former SS guard Reinhold Hanning became the latest Nazi war criminal to be convicted by a court.

Palestinian rioters throw stones at Jewish worshipers visiting Joseph’s Tomb

Around 60 Jewish worshipers who came to pray at Joseph’s Tomb had their bus attacked by Palestinian rioters who threw stones at them. The IDF managed to rescue them but a number of worshipers were injured and were treated in the area.

The IDF rushed last night to Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus after an Israeli bus that entered the area was attacked by Palestinian rioters. Stones were thrown at a bus full of 60 Jewish worshipers that were rescued from the place by the IDF shortly afterwards. A number of Israelis were injured due to the stone-throwing and were treated on site.

According to the biblical tradition, Joseph was buried in the biblical city of Shechem which is outside of Nablus. Therefore, Joseph’s Tomb is considered a Jewish shrine. The holy site is believed to be the place where 1 of 3 biblical transactions mentioned in the Torah took place. The other two are the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron and the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

Even though the holy site is located in Area A of the West Bank, the Oslo Accords stated that Joseph’s Tomb is 1 of 2 areas in the Palestinian Authority that will remain under Israeli jurisdiction following the establishment of a Palestinian state. The other site is a 6th-7th century synagogue in Jericho with a mosaic depicting a shofar with the following inscription: “Peace unto Israel.”

The Times of Israel reported that the Oslo Accords required that the Palestinians protect the site and keep it open for Jewish worshippers, a promise that since 2000 has not been fulfilled from Israel’s perspective. There has been Palestinian attempts to convert the site into a mosque, widespread vandalism, disturbances, riots, and even cases of arson attacks at the holy site. Other Israeli citizens have been murdered while praying at Joseph’s Tomb.

Anti-Semitism In Rio: Israeli Olympic Team Competing With Hate

Nearly 45 years after 11 Israeli athletes were murdered by Palestinian terrorists at the 1972 Munich Olympics, anti-semitism toward the Jewish State still rears it ugly head at the largest international sports competition. While, thank God, the hatred of the Jews by their muslim opponents has not led to acts of terror at the Games since ’72, still the venomous hatred toward Israel never dies. The Anti-Defamation League released a statement after recent racist acts against the Israeli Olympic Team, saying, “These days, anti-Israel vio­lence at the Olympics has been replaced by anti-Israel politics, with representatives from countries hostile to the Jewish State going to great lengths to avoid any interaction with Israeli athletes.” If it was just one incident, we could attribute it to one hateful soul; but sadly since the start of the RIO Olympics last weekend, there have been numerous acts of anti-semitism against the Israeli delegation.

The string of anti-Israel incidents began 2 days before the Opening Ceremonies, as Facebook omitted the Israeli flag on it’s Olympics page last Wednesday. After a complaint by the Olympic Committee of Israel, the flag was finally added Thursday night. No other country’s flags were left out. So, a “technical issue” or an “overlooked mistake” are not valid excuses. It was obvious and blatant rejection of Israel by the anti-Israel social media platform. I’ve raised this issue for years, but because Mark Zuckerberg (the founder and CEO of Facebook) is Jewish, he gets away with anti-Israel bigotry. Many secular Jews oppose Biblical beliefs, so Zuckerberg opposing Israel is not out of the ordinary. He is what us Holy Bible believers refer to as a “Jew in name only”, like the uber-liberal politician Bernie Sanders. After news broke of Facebook leaving Israel out of it’s list of nations, it released the following statement:

“We experienced a short-lived ‘technical issue’ that prevented the Olympic profile frames for some countries from being displayed correctly in the profile picture selection menu.” This is a false statement. “Some countries” were not omitted, only ISRAEL was.

As the Games officially began last week, so too began the blatant acts of disrespect, hostility, hatred and downright anti-semitism against the Israelis by teams from Islamic nations. On August 5th, the Team from Lebanon refused to share a bus with the Israelis, which took the athletes to the opening ceremony, even though they had been designated to share the bus. When the bus driver opened the door, the head of the Lebanese delegation blocked the aisle and entrance. The Olympic organizers, choosing to avoid an international and physical incident, sent the Israelis away to a different bus. Many around the world were enraged by this event.

Miri Regev, the Israeli minister of culture and sports, blasted the Lebanese incident as “anti-Semitism, pure and simple, and the worst kind of racism.” The Lebanese delegation head who blocked the Israelis from entering the bus, Saleem al-Haj Nacoula, was reportedly hailed in Islamic Lebanon as a “hero”. He said in a statement, “I was surprised to see the Israeli delegation approaching and trying to get on. I told the bus driver to close the door, but a trainer who was with the Israelis prevented him from doing so. I had to physically block him and the rest of the delegation from boarding.” While an act like this is not an act of terror or murder against Jews like in 1972, it is just as abhorrent that this kind of racism is cheered by some and that they are treated as a non-existent people. This Lebanese delegation might as well put swastikas on their Olympic team uniforms. Imagine the media uproar if any other Olympic team would have refused to share a bus with an all black delegation. Why is it acceptable when it’s the Jews?!?
