Wide icchak cukierman
Był człowiekiem romantycznym – wspominał Icchaka Cukiermana Marek Edelman. – Pisał listy do swych przyjaciół w obozach koncentracyjnych.

1 sierpnia 1944 roku wybuchło w Warszawie kolejne powstanie. Jednym z oddziałów walczących w ramach Armii Ludowej był samodzielny pluton ŻOB. Należeli do niego m.in. „Celina”, Marek Edelman i Symcha Ratajzer „Kazik”.

[…] Wstępujcie do szeregów powstańczych.

Równolegle, Cukierman z żoną brali udział w przygotowaniach do nielegalnej, a później półlegalnej emigracji Żydów z Polski do Palestyny.

W pewnym momencie premiera wywołano do telefonu. Poprosiłem, by zaprowadzono mnie do kostnicy.

MSNBC Reporter of ‘Parroting’ Palestinian Narrative in Tel Aviv Terror Coverage

Media Watchdog Accuses Notoriously Biased MSNBC Reporter of ‘Parroting’ Palestinian Narrative in Tel Aviv Terror Coverage (VIDEO)

An MSNBC correspondent notorious for his anti-Israel reporting is “only interested in parroting the Palestinian narrative, even when reporting on the murder of innocents,” a researcher at a prominent media watchdog group told The Algemeiner on Friday.

Gilead Ini, a senior research analyst at the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA), was responding to Ayman Mohyeldin’s recent coverage of Wednesday’s deadly terror attack in Tel Aviv that left four dead and many others wounded.

Mohyeldin — who was joined on air by reporter Martin Fletcher — claimed that “Palestinian frustration” against Israeli government policies led to the attack:

But in the bigger picture, in the context of what has been happening in the occupied Palestinian territories, the occupation, the shift of Israeli politics, including the current government, more to the right, to what has been described by Israelis as an even more extreme right-wing government, some of the measures that have taken place in the West Bank, the siege that continues in Gaza, all of those continue to fester…

The MSNBC reporter did not make mention of reports that the terrorists were affiliated with the Gaza-based Hamas terror group nor did he note the celebrations across Palestinian cities in Israel and the West Bank in the wake of the attack.

“Ayman Mohyeldin has an unfortunate history of journalism that looks more like anti-Israel advocacy than professional reporting,” said Ini. “He famously insisted a knife-wielding Palestinian attacker was an innocent civilian — saying so even as the video broadcast clearly showed the man’s weapon. But his advocacy reporting preceded that report. After terrorists murdered four Jews in a Paris market, as the victims were being buried, Mohyeldin was asked about the rise in immigration to Israel by European Jews escaping antisemitism. He responded by redirecting the conversation to Palestinian grievances.”

When Jews are murdered in Israel, Ini said, Mohyeldin “does the same.”

“Contrary to Mohyeldin’s commentary, the ‘context’ of these murders isn’t that Israel replaced one defense minister with another. The germane context is that Palestinian leaders and media have long incited anti-Jewish violence, including by glorifying this very type of terrorism. The context is that, as the killers were growing up, everywhere they looked they learned that they would be seen as heroes if they killed Jews in a cafe. And that’s what they did,” Ini told The Algemeiner. “If Muhyeldin isn’t willing to tell this part of the story — even when reporting on the murder of innocent Israelis, or innocent French Jews — MSNBC should move him to another bureau.”

In October, following Mohyeldin’s botched reporting of the terror stabbing attack, a private petition was launched calling on NBC Universal News Group, which owns MSNBC, to fire the reporter.

MSNBC did not immediately respond to The Algemeiner‘s request for comment.

Belgian Jewish student ‘gassed’

The Times of IsraelBelgian Jewish student ‘gassed’ with deodorant by classmates in showers

Mother says 12-year-old son subjected to vicious anti-Semitic bullying at elementary school in Brussels suburb

Belgian elementary school students are accused of anti-Semitic bullying of a Jewish classmate, whom they allegedly sprayed with deodorant while he was showering at school to simulate Nazi gas chambers.

The three students told their Jewish classmate they were “gassing” him during the incident, according to his mother.

The Jewish student was subjected to anti-Semitic abuse over the past two years at his elementary school in the Brussels suburb of Braine-le-Chateau, according to a statement Friday by the Belgian League Against Anti-Semitism. All the involved students are now 12 years old.

The mother of the alleged victim filed a police complaint last week over the bullying, which she said her son detailed to her. Francis Brancart, an education board official, confirmed Thursday that his office was looking into the matter, which he said may require the opening of an independent inquiry, the news agency Belga reported. He said he could not confirm the veracity of the complaints.

The alleged incident in the showers happened early last year. The three students pressed the deodorant canisters’ nozzles to the boy’s body, his mother said, causing burns and skin irritations on his back. She said it was one of dozens of incidents in which her son was subjected to violence, anti-Semitic jokes and intimidation.

The student complained to faculty but his mother said the teacher in charge ignored the complaints, even after her son asked for and got permission to stay indoors during recess to avoid harassment.

“She downplayed the situation each time we complained,” the mother, who was not named in LBCA and Belga’s reporting, told LBCA of the teacher. “My son is graduating from elementary school and will leave the school, but I am taking these actions so that teachers and the school administration realize they cannot disregard this bullying.”

The principal told Belga she was surprised by the allegations, adding the student in question did not appear to be unhappy, his behavior had not changed over the past two years and he had maintained excellent scholastic performance.

The principal said the teacher handling the mother’s complaint did not relay the anti-Semitic character of the harassment to her. She said the three students involved in the deodorant incident were reprimanded for their behavior, which they said was part of a game.

LBCA president Joel Rubinfeld told Belga he interviewed other students who confirmed the anti-Semitic nature of the “gassing” incident and the recurrence of jokes and taunts referencing the Holocaust in the student’s bullying by the three other classmates.

The case reported last week is one of several recent anti-Semitic incidents in Belgium, including the bullying of a high school student who was forced to change schools amid alleged inaction by the institution where the harassment occurred. Last year, Belgian media reported on the online shaming by classmates of a pro-Israel high school student who also left the public education system for a Jewish school.

Such cases, Rubinfeld said last year, are turning Belgian schools into “Jew-free” zones.
